Very satisfied. A pleasant hotel bang in the centre of Brum. Rooms excellent, bathroom particularly well equipped (great shower). Eating facilities better than your average budget hotel. Would certainly stay again

Just spent two nights here. The location is absolutely brilliant, a short walk from New Street Station and great for places like Centenary Square, the Museum and Art Gallery and the Town Hall. The room was clean and fresh, everything worked properly except for the keys (and the receptionist happily replaced a key that didn't work) and the double-glazing was effective at keeping out the roar from the nearby offices' air plants. (This was a room at the back of the hotel.)

There are plenty of pubs, clubs and restaurants in New Street so you're not stuck for somewhere to go in the evening.

Only gripe was with the wi-fi. It seems mean in this day and age to charge for wi-fi, even in a budget hotel, and although the 30 minute free allowance is useful, you have to be very careful to keep your browser session running and log out of it correctly, else it continues eating your minutes even if you've turned your wi-fi off completely. This is easy on a laptop, harder on a phone or tablet.

Stayed here on one of my work visits to Birmingham last week.

It's a really nice hotel, quite busy and bustling. Location is excellent as it's right in the city centre of Birmingham and perfect for me as my office is on the same street :)

Room was clean and fresh and tidy. Stayed here two nights but my room was not cleaned/made up when I arrived back the second evening - was quite disappointing and drunks outside the hotel were pretty disturbing but much can't be done about that I guess.

They have a nice restaurant below called Fuomo, I haven't tried there but I've heard good reviews and I'll be trying it out on my next visit. Did have a drink in their bar, and that is really nice.

Everything else was fine.

We booked this for one night just for travelling to a nearby concert. I was amazed by the price and central location, it was only a few minutes away from the bull ring and new street station and the area around it was lovely. Our room was so clean, light and modern. The bed was comfortable, there were extra pillows and the bathroom was excellent. Even though this was in the centre, there was very little noise at all.

The only complaint(s) I have were, what I think was unfortunate and a one off. In the morning (i.e. 8am) the cleaning staff talked at the top of their voices, later on there was a fire alarm; now fair enough if this had a been an actual fire but this was just staff training - we had to run down 6 flights of stairs, half showered and dressed (not a pretty sight!) On returning back into the building, what I think was the manager apologised, but it maybe would have been nice to have a little bit of warning.

Myself, my partner and other guests then waited for the lift, however other members of the hotel staff barged infront of us without acknowledgement, didn't ask us if we'd actually like to get in the lift and closed the doors. So, we all waited for another, other members of staff joined us in this one and started complaining about their jobs between each other, fair enough but do it in your own time! Due to this we had very little time left before checkout, cleaners were knocking on our door for us to leave the room, it might have been nice to just have a few extra minutes after this.

I didn't want to knock down the score for this hotel soley because of these members of staff. The girls who checked us in and out of our stay were lovely and it was unfortunate that this happened but shouldn't reflect badly on anyone else in the hotel.

Most of my stay here exceeded my expectations and I would still love to stay again.

Stayed here on 26 Sept 2013.
Staff very helpful on check in.
Room was clean, and spacious.
Only one hand towel between the two of us.
There is free Wi-fi but only up to 30mins then any extra internet you can purchase @ £3.00 for 24hrs. duration.
Room lacked a clock.and a dimmer switch in the room would have been ideal for lowering lights.
Tea/Coffee making facilities (in room) A few more sachets of Tea/coffee would be appreciated.
Breakfast buffet (at extra cost to room) was excellent (eat as much as you want) and ample choice from full English - Continental.. The restaurant staff were really friendly and helpful, only to willing to please.
Overall a nice reasonably priced friendly hotel.
Would I/we stay there again? Yes, Yes, Yes, especially just for the breakfast and friendliness of the helpful staff.

Room Tip: Have the breakfast with your stay.

Stayed at this hotel for first time. Location was excellent staff very helpfull. Only problem the bar closed at midnight and reopened about an hour later. The new staff member who took over likes to overcharge. Also on a Sunday morning at 8.30 the church bells start up.

Spent 2 nights here 18 to 20th September. This is the second time I have stopped here and think it is a great place to stay. Staff so helpful and worked hard, they were raising funds for a Great Ormand Street while I was there.
This hotel is a short walking distance from the new entrance of Birmingham New Street Railway Station, the ICC and the Bullring.

Room Tip: Thought the top floors were quieter from outside noise.
