We were pleasantly surprised to find such good quality service and surroundings in a budget hotel. All the staff were friendly and helpful, without being intrusive. The rooms were clean and comfortable. it was all altogether a very pleasant stay.

Unbelievably friendly staff great breakfast and brilliant atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble and they gave great advice and recommendations about local amenities. Great vegetarian breakfast and the chef couldn't do enough for us. Good vegetarian sausages and cheese omelette. Seemed to really enjoy their work. Thanks Matt for making us feel so welcome.

Had two nights at the hotel for work. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Restaurant is very good on an evening and staff are lovely. Close to all of the shops and restaurants if you decide to eat out. As I was alone I ate at the hotel.

Another great stay In Birmingham. This city has so much to offer for the weekend break or just a day out. Shopping at the Bullring and high street. Excellent restaurants at the Bullring and Brindley Place. Sight seeing around the lovely canal network on a barge bus and the amazing views from the viewing tower in the new Library.

The only problem with our one night stay - as far away from the coast as you can get in Britain - was caused by seagulls! The staff were brilliant, from the young Polish barmaid who gave us table service though she was busy behind the bar to the equally young local chap who assured us we could take as long as we liked over breakfast. Despite road works all around, our rooms up on the seventh floor were heavenly quiet ... until the seagulls swooped and squawked to celebrate the arrival of dawn. Even then, Lenny's new beds got us back asleep again in no time. Or maybe it was the Boddingtons served by the nice Polish lady!

Room Tip: The higher the quieter

We had a great stay at this hotel. Rooms very clean, comfy bed, a good sized bathroom and very quiet. All staff from the receptionists to the bar and breakfast staff were very friendly and helpfull. The hotel is situated in a great location, a few minutes from Birmingham New Street station and around a 10 minute walk to the symphony hall. Breakfast and evening meal was very good.
