This was located near my appointment the following day so booked based on location and saw that the price was under £40 for room only. You do get what you pay for but it was worth the £40. I wouldn't particularly rush to stay there again - rooms are dated and decor is showing its age. Of course what did I expect for £40. If you do stay here though worth checking out the Indian bar and Restaurant on the opposite side of the main road called Special Spices.

Room Tip: Rooms with higher numbers (teens into twenties) tend to be away from main road and its traffic noise

We had a Groupon voucher for Sunday lunch at this hotel. Food was awful.Poor Quality and tasted even worse. Service was extremely poor, miserable waiter!! Place looked dirty and in need of an update and maybe look at getting a new chef!!

Read some the poor reviews and didn't expect to be happy with our stay. I booked a Michael Bible tribute note with stay over. I decided to upgrade to a clubroom (room 126) as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, so glad I did. The room was spacious, the bed was huge, it also had a good seating area with leather settee. The bathroom had a very large walk in shower, I started to think I was staying in a different hotel to the one I'd rad about. The tribute act could have been better, but the meal, service and disco afterwards was excellent. When we finally got to bed it was so comfortable, we had 6 pillows to share and lots of room to enjoy a good nights sleep. The following morning we went to to breakfast which was a buffet style, with cereal, fruit and full English as choices. All in all a great time had and will be back soon.☺

Room Tip: Any of the clubrooms

Rooms are from the 1970s dirty and not worth the £60 a night. The whole place needs a good clean and bring up to date. I stayed here for business and was told there would be night porter on to let me in hotel if I came back after 11pm from my meeting when I arrived there was a note on door to call a mobile number after three calls and ten minutes waiting in the rain someone came not what I expect in this day and age. AVOID

booked through otel.com two twin rooms for overnight stay after local music festival. rang the day before to ask if we could park earlier and leave the car there when we went to the festival and the lady was really friendly and helpful, she said to come to reception anyway because if the rooms were ready we could put our stuff in. when we arrived i went to reception and the receptionist said they didnt have the twin rooms available (though they were booked months ago) and would we be happy with four singles. We said we were ok with it and she said they would have to get them ready, so i said we would be back at night after the festival. i asked if the cafe part of the hotel was open and she said yes so we went through to get some food. we sat there for the best part of 15 minutes whilst staff obviously setting up for later walked past and didnt acknowledge us so we got up and left. when we came back and got our keys we found our rooms. by that point we were so tired it didnt matter but the rooms were not anywhere near the quality pictured on the website, looked very tired and dim.only bonus was the fact they were so far away from the end of a wedding there was no noise at all... next morning we got up and went for breakfast - breakfast was great and people serving were lovely.

Meal was awful starter was mushrooms about 2 muchrooms sliced in a sauce very small portions, beef bourguignon came with five small pieces of beef 2 new potatoes and vegetables which came about 10mins later !!

The abba tribute act was terrible they sang songs that no one knew n the men oh well they just couldnt sing at all! Sorry guys but we were all looking forward to the night but it was disappointing to say the least .

I came away feeling hungry ordered a pizza on the way home ! The tribute nights are over priced and the meals are disappointing definitely not worth the money ...... village hotel tribute nights much more value for money .

Oh forgot to say £16.50aporox I paid for a cheap bottle of rose (jack rabbit!!!) Not good guys you cant make money like this by providing cheap food and drinks and charging over the odds !!!

Thank you for your comments.

We do take our comments and complaints very seriously.
We as a business have very many tribute nights with resounding success. However there will be times when expectations are not met.

Our pricing is constantly reviewed to always ensure that our offering is fair and good value for money which keeps us within the market place.

We do hope that you will join us again in the near future.

We stayed here in November 2012 as we got the room for £40 instead of £120. Glad we didn't pay £120 as it wasn't worth even a quarter of that! Very dated, small rooms. Corridors are dark and feel enclosed. Main issue was we both went home barely able to breathe, not sure whether this was to do with the lack of ventilation. Our room was on the ground floor with a view of some bins and a fence. Will not be staying again even if it was free!

Room Tip: Don't go at all, therefore no room
