The reception area looks modern and appealing. The positive comments end there. Slow check-in with staff that seem like every task they do is being done for the first time. Key cards for room entry failed to work and needed to be re-set every time access to room required. Very basic room with no frills what-so-ever. Nasty,dirty, heavy duty carpet (felt reluctant to walk on with no shoes). Pillows smelled of smoke. Basic bed with hard mattress, quality similar to what you'd expect in a hostal. No wardrobe or drawers for clothes storage (shallow shelves and hanging rail provided). Pillow case to spare pillow was very heavily soiled. Thank goodness for triple glazed window as the noise from clubs and restuarants below was very loud. TV remote control was sticky and soiled - tried not to think what this was. Extremely small bathroom with leaking shower. Tiny off-white towels, only slightly bigger than hand towels. Very slow service at the bar (staffed by receptionist) - gin and 'tonic' was gin and soda as the post-mix syrup had run out. Unable to put any extras on the bill and had to pay by cash or card for each purchase - cup of tea (£2.10), but there was no change in the till. Very slow check-out and difficulty printing receipt. Odd pricing rates: £41.30 for 2 nights and £79 for one night (pre-paid and then saw rooms advertised cheaper before my stay) - extremely overpriced for standard of room and service. Only prompt service experienced was the receipt of an email asking for feedback on my stay, which I have given.

We stayed here previously without a problem, but on this occasion was not happy. Checking in was ok and was given a 'quiet' room. The room was very small, but as we were only there for one night, that was not a problem. There were two small towels, not hand towels, I think they were large towels by their standards, but small by mine. The room was clean, but the bed...I happened to pull back the duvet from the bottom and was horrified at what I found... it had long dark hairs etc that most certainly did not belong to either of us. We will not be staying there again.

I have been there for a week and I can say that the hotel is good for quality/price but what it does make the overall rating excellent is the customer care in the specific the work of the receptionists Kunal and Romuald that I can say it is offered in the higher hotel categories.
