Hotel ibis Birmingham Centre New Street

Stayed for three nights and paid £86 after Quidco cashback. Limited tv choice but free internet. I did not have the breakfast or eat at the restaurant, there are so many good options around the hotel (it is in Chinatown). Did not use the carpark but understand it is £10 per night. The hotel is located in a lively part of Birmingham, so can be noisy at weekends, so ask reception for a room away from the bars. Overall for £30 per night it is very good value

Room Tip: Don't bother eating at the restaurant. There is such a great choice of restaurants nearby.

No shower gel only blocks of soap. Take the empty shower dispenser out then!!!
No hand towel.
Towel & bedding smell too much of chlorine.
Location is good for theatre & bull ring but for a Thursday night super noisy, all I could hear was the bass from a bar/club. The beds are really squeaky/the floorboard noisy. Is the room above laminate floor not carpet?! Currently writing this at 2:30 as I cannot sleep!!!!!

stayed here for 2 weekend breaks the hotel is in a good location and the rooms are clean and basic but has all you need for a weekend break. breakfast is good a wide choice from cooked to yoghurt and muesli, staff are friendly and helpful. but if you are looking for a quiet weekend due to its location this hotel may not be for you. all in all we will be staying again very soon

Room Tip: I would recommend the 4th floor a little quieter up there

Rooms are small but very functional and clean. The immediate surroundings are not very nice,
but the hotel is conveniently locate close to the railway station and shopping centers.
Breakfast is quite good and ideal for early birds (continental breakfast is ready at 5 am).
