We booked this hotel room six weeks prior to our arrival and paid £64 per night for a two night stay instead of the normal tariff of £99 per night. Upon arrival we found the staff to be courteous and helpful which they remained throughout our stay. Our room was clean but a little tired looking, carpet and heater could do with replacing. The shower room was excellent and the bed very comfortable. Linen was not changed after first night, which we would have prefered, but was not a major issue for us. Breakfast was okay, but the quality was not as good as the Ibis hotel at Birmingham International, although the ingredients were very similar. What really spoiled it for us though was being asked 4 times by 4 different members of staff for our room number whilst we were eating our breakfast, inspite of the fact we had introduced ourselves to a member of staff before preceding to select our food. We would stay again at this hotel for the reduced price of £64 but feel that it falls some way short of justifying a price tag of £99 per night.

Dear Tony,

Thank you for your review. I am pleased to see that you found our hotel team helpful and the bedroom clean. I will be certain to share your feedback with breakfast team as it is certainly not our practice to check the guest room number more than once. May I explain that the linen is no longer changed daily due to environmentally friendly policy applied in Ibis Hotels.

We hope to welcome you back again soon.

Kind regards,

Joanna

We stayed there for two nights this month and for what we paid it was great!!!clean and tidy rooms and well presented lobby/bar/reception!!! Ignore the woman who complained about having to pay for drinks in reception after ordering said drinks at bar....the reception desk and bar are three feet apart!!!as for problems with key cards I had none and made plenty of visits to and from the room. This hotel isn't claiming to be five star accommodation so it shouldn't be criticised for not being!!!
For the rates they charge and the perfect location for the Bullring, New Street Station and the Mailbox you cannot complain and what this hotel tries to do!!!the staff are very friendly and, as much as we didn't require there assistance for anything, very helpful indeed. The hotel is on a busy road but hey you in a large busy city what do you expect??? I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wanted a short shopping or city break. However for couples wanting some "room privacy" maybe the rooms are not ideal!!!(rather close together)

One more thing we did not try the hotel food as we simply were not hungry until later in the day by which time we out in the shops...however don't worry to much about the comments regarding where the breakfast equipment is situated ie orange juice machine etc as the breakfast room is clearly rather small and unless you have a serious bone idle approach to your stay you shouldn't find it too hard to move a few feet across the room to collect your morning fruity beverage. Ideal for me and mrs and will stay there again. As this site is for helpful advice don't listen too much to the negativity regarding this hotel as the it really does know what it's doing in the field it's playing in if you expect the Savoy clearly you will be disappointed but then again they are not charging Savoy rates. Hope to see you soon IBIS Birmingham centre.

As a flight attendant travelling around the world and used to sleep in luxury hotels, I have been pleasantly surprised by Ibis Hotel warm welcome.
In the heart of the City, Ibis is ideally located close to the great location of Bull Ring.
Very affordable and worth your money, clean and lovely cozy rooms, comfortable beds with soft pillows and free WiFi !!!
I found the professional staff exceptionally helpful at the front desk, ready to help you any time you need. Very good breakfast of a good standard.
Totally recommend it, will continue to book again and again !
