I use this hotel regularly on business. Staff are always friendly and accommodate your needs.

This is one of the few hotels in Birmingham with a swimming pool to relax.

Food is good - room service, restaurant and bar. There's a good curry night in the bar on Tuesday evenings.

Rooms are a good size and have all necessary facilities for business traveller.

Having a number of things to celebrate, we just had a family weekend get-together here. We had 3 generations to cater for and it is not always easy to keep everybody happy. However, it was very successful.

Firstly the price and value-for-money were excellent. The rooms were well-appointed and were generally very good. Our room was a little small and cluttered but the other rooms in our party were fine and given the price we had paid it would be churlish to moan.

The service was great, very friendly and helpful.

There were some negatives:

1) There was no extractor fan in the bathroom and it was not possible to open the window. I would imagine that this contravenes hotel regulations. At any rate, it is unacceptable.

2) The room had not been cleaned as thoroughly as it might have been

3) No wireless internet and excessively expensive "wired" internet access (minimum £15, taking the mickey here, I think)

However, these do not detract from what was overall a very good stay with excellent value for money.

I have stay here a coule of times and again it did not disappoint. This time we had the opportunity to use the pool. This was very nice.
We were upgraded so that our room and our sons room were beside each other. Super beds, lovely breakfast and friendly staff.

One niggle internet access should be free in all hotels.
But would still be my first choice of hotels in Birmingham.

I organised my friends hen do. We wanted to stay in a hotel that was not going to be full of single sex parties (even though we were) as we had a few older ladies with us. The hotel was fantastic. We got excellent rates from their group reservations line and nothing was too much trouble. They upgraded the bride and even gave us a private dining room for breakfast. The rooms were clean and well furnished. The beds were huge and comfortable. The hotel was not overun with groups (which is good considering it is positioned at the top of Broad Street) all in all, a very good hotel.

A comfortable hotel, but rather disappointing that internet usage was expensive (£15 for 24 hours, I think). A hotel of this quality should provide this, and a daily paper, free

stayed at this hotel 2 weeks ago and was impressed with the hotel very good location if you are a nightlife person as it is a 2 minute walk to broadstreet where the pubs and clubs are . the hotel itself has a fantastic leisure club pool jacuzzi etc. also if you are with family there is a cinema multiplex next door with frankie n bennies restaurants etc so you can avoid the part street.

Stayed one night, was upgraded to a suite -- double glazing on windows, bed was extremely comfortable, bathroom very clean. We also had our small dog, he was very welcomed. The breakfast was great -- they even provided us with coffee 'to go' as we had to leave early. Very close to restaurants and bars, shopping and tube nearby. Would definitely stay again. The Bullring was a pleasant surprise.... really nice!
