We travelled to Birmingham for a concert in the LG arena last weekend and decided we would like to stay in the city with a bit of comfort. The Hyatt did not disappoint, we checked in at 09:30 in te morning and we were asked how high up the hotel we wanted our room and which view would we prefer, nice touch. The room was extremely comfortable and immaculate all amenities to hand. The bed in the room is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, everything worked - probably the best two nights rest I have ever had in a city hotel. The Bar is nice and comfortable for a quiet drink, and the Aria restaurant serves excellent food. This Hotel is located 10 mins walk from the Bull Ring for great shopping and has fantastic shops on the way too. We were going to try Jamie Olivers Italian restaurant at the bullring but it was jammed wall to wall and to be honest didnt look to have much character. We instead opted for a Bar we found under the Burlington hotel called Bachuus - excellent food, excellent decor and exceelnt atmosphere. Overall we were very impressed with the Hotel and its location - despite it being a 15 min taxi ride to the Lg Arena. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it

Birmingham as such is beautiful, and Hyatt added beauty to my memorable trip. As in India, this Hyatt has modern look both internally and externally. Just behind the hotel there is beautiful canal and lots of restaurants at the bank of that canal. Friday night is worth to stay there, the canal side becomes the most happening place in birmingham..

Rooms were good, clean and hygienic. Breakfast have good options. Even one can explore some other restaurant in near by place.

Overall its worth staying there

Room Tip: Should prefer the canal view rooms

It isn't very beautiful on the outside but once through the doors this is an excellent hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, professional atmosphere and everything seemed to be well kept, clean and well maintained. The public rooms are grand as one would expect from a mayor chain like Hyatt. I don't go to the health clubs that often but my wife and I had a few hours to spare and we had a lovely relaxing time in the pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. The only minor disappointment was that the treatment rooms were all booked up several days ahead so if you are going to stay book a treatment in plenty of time.
We didn't eat dinner in the hotel but the breakfast was delicious. A good balance of healthy options and the more traditional British fry-up
We enjoyed our break at the Hyatt Regency in Birmingham - an oasis of tranquility in the middle of the Birmingham bustle.

Room Tip: go for hight to get the view and keep away from the street noise. We were on the 10th floor. Higher...

It rained. Surprise surprise. It rained a lot. Just being able to walk over the bridge into the ICC was a treat. Everything else was as you'd expect, great quality. Concierge for luggage storage, door opening, was, well great to! These guys look after you and spot you from afar.

Room Tip: A view over the canals is good.

We recently stayed in the Hyatt Regency in Birmingham while on business for 3 nights. On arrival the conceige was great, allowing me to park my car at the front door and go and check in before moving it to the car park down the street.

On arrival at check in there had been a complete mix up by our company and incorrect dates had been booked, but the staff and Manager were most helpful and after a short wait got it sorted.

My room was on the 9th floor with a great view over the city. The rooms are comfortable but as with most 4-5* hotels the pillows were all feather with only 1 non feather pillow in the wardrobe, however a quick call to reception had some non feather pillows delivered to the room.

The rooms are well appointed, with plenty of space and everything you need from irons, hairdryer, bath robes, however there were a few things that didnt make it the best stay in the world. The heat in the rooms was such that you need to run the air conditioning all night, there are no windows in the room that open, however the air conditioning units were quite noisy. The other factor was the non feather pillows! They were so uncomfortable and I am the sort of person that needs a comfortable pillow to be able to sleep.

Breakfast was great, the waiting staff were very attentive. It is buffet style however you can order eggs from the waiters to be cooked as you like them. My colleague ordered boiled eggs and was asked "how long would you like them boiled for sir".

We didnt eat in the hotel, or use the bar, but chose instead to eat out in the various restaurants around Brindley place.

Would I stay here again, probably yes if we were back working in the ICC as it is directly across the street.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the lifts, my colleague was in 1901 and the beep beep of the lift kept him...

We stayed again on 29th June in a twin room overlooking the canals & bars which was so noisy with police/ambulance sirens and music etc etc, room tip- get a view looking out to the Bull Ring side. We luv this hotel and have stayed there many times, the last 2 times though we have stayed we have had the most awful nights sleep or' lack of sleep' if I put it correctly and when we did drop off the fire alarm went off-hows your luck. The beds used to be very comfortable in the past but the Hyatt seem to have some new beds that are so hard we just could not sleep on them so much so we only got a couple of hours sleep and felt like ******** the next morning when I just couldn't wait to get out of the thing and have a lovely hot shower to take my aches & pans away. That said the staff are great, the bar is good except for the warm champagne (which was given complimentary as they did not have any cold champagne) the food is good and a decent breakfast served. Great for the Symphony hall, you dont even have to go outside you can use the link bridge. I still like this hotel though, it has a really nice feeling when you arrive. Would we go back-no but only because of the hard beds.

Room Tip: To get away from the noise of the Bars and music and police sirens going on through the early hours...
