I've stayed at this hotel for the past 3 Christmas eves with my partner. We will be staying again this Christmas eve. The location is ideal being just off Broad Street. The rooms are tidy and clean and the staff are always pleasant. I have no complaints - one of the best hotels I've stayed in. I haven't tried the food but I we went in the pool last year and it was clean.

Stayed for one night in August with my wife and two daughters after attending a family wedding earlier that day. I know the hotel quite well as we lived in Birmingham for ten years and it used to have a good reputation.
I booked in advance, and mannaged to get the rate of £79.20 for two rooms, which I thought was good value for money.
When we arrived there was no help with luggage, no welcome and to say that the receptionist was surly would be an understatement. No directions to the lift were given and our rooms were on the 20th floor.
The room was ok, but had the feel of there having been many people in there before you. Room service, when eventually we were able to order was very good and brought to us by a very pleasant Chinese waiter. We did not have a good nights sleep which is suprising when you consider we were on the 20th floor. Why do hotels give you a specific check out time? for you then to be cutomarily interupted by the cleaner wanting to clean the room two hours before departure. Needless to say this did happen.
We gave breakfast a miss at £19.50 per person. The whole place was dead at 10.45am when we were checked out by the same surly and unremarkable receptionist as the night before, and then they charged us for overnight parking! And no the porters do not carry your bags to your car!

Stayed for my partner's birthday. Picked this hotel after reading the reviews.
Really enjoyed staying here.
Location was perfect. Easy to walk too from the station.
Reception staff were lovely.
We were on the 20th floor. Amazing views. Central to everything.
Breakfast was lovely...very enjoyable.
Would not hesitate to stay again.

I stayed in this luxury hotel in August (2010) and was very impressed by the service and rooms, me and my 2 children got upgraded into the regency club lounge meaning we were on the 24th floor. The views from this room were amazing; everything was perfect! In the morning we had our perfect full english breakfast everything, you would want from a 5 star hotel. Our checkout was simple and easy and the staff at the desk were lovely. When we came to pick up our car the very kind man parked it right outside the hotel what a bonus!! I will certainly stay in this amazing hotel again, and would recommend it to anybody.

We have stayed here twice when going to a concert at the symphony hall despite the fact that we live less than 1 hour away! It makes for a lovely mini break, the staff are professional & friendly, Sunday lunch is excellent, spa treatment area welcoming etc etc.
As soon as you walk in you know you have come to a quality place & can relax after a busy day shopping!
Worth checking rates last minute (direct on their site) book a night & treat yourself to afternoon tea, shopping, possibly a concert, dip in the pool, sauna, newspapers in bed, a spa treatment & more.

stayed here with my hubby to spend some quality time for our anniversary, the location was fabulous right in the heart of evertthing. we dident have to travel far from new stareet station and then 2 minutes and we were in broad street or our much prefered brindly place.
walking in the reception is amazing staff are imaculatly dressed and have a smile and are very polite. we were on the 18th floor, the lifts are as fast as lightening took seconds to get to the floor. our room was immaculate we stayed in a king room which was quite large full lenght windows which sent me a little dizzy when i got to close. the bed is so comfortable with crisp white bed linen. extra pillows and blankets were in the wardrobe. air con controls are next to the bed. large plasma screen. with a lovely comfortable armchair in the room which hubby enjoyed watching sky sports from. tea, coffee available. the mini bar was quite expensive vodka £6. also had soft drinks chooclate crisps and condoms.
you also get the use of clean fluffy dressing gowns and slippers int he wardrobe.
the bathroom was spotlessly clean and one of the largest hotel bathrooms i've seen, with enough towels and free shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, tissues ect. shower was pretty powerful only downfall was the tv is piped through to the bathroom through a large speaker in the ceiling it was quite loud and i could find no way of switching it off or down, which i did not enjoy whilst havin a relaxing soak and listening to one of hubby very loud films :o( . the visit to the spa was nice they provide you with lots of towels and a free locker the pool is lovely and i really enjoyed the jacuzzi too they do have a steam room, sauna and plunge pool but i did not use them. we throughtly enjoyed our stay and will definatly be returning.

Located conveniently in the city centre, this hotel has brings comfort to a business traveler with large size rooms (at least on the Hyatt Gold Passport holder's special floor !), full length windows offering decent view of the city, good food & a spa to boast too ! Besides, the service quality and promptness is decent too.. I had a trouble though with a mistake caused by room service personnel (mixing up of drink ordered !), however, the hotel staff and manager bend over backwards to please me ... I left without a frown !!
