What a fab find, we happened across this restaurant while wandering around the jewellery quarter in Birmingham and we were well impressed to say the least. It was mother's day so we didn't expect to get anywhere to eat without booking but the welcome was warm and the service excellent.
Built in an old forge, the building had been tastefully restored and was very pleasing to the eye.
The menu was varied without being over the top which to me indicates that the chef knows what he is about and that was certainly true here. The food was fabulous, the sevice excellent, the staff friendly, the price reasonable and the atmosphere comfortable. I will definitely be visiting again and recommending to others.

It was a very quiet lunchtime. The food was very enjoyable. The waitress wasn't very attentive. With so few patrons she could have looked after us a lot better. Overall though a nice lunch in pleasant surroundings.

We booked a steak dinner for a party of 25ish people on a friday night, we booked in advanced and had to submit our meals in advance BUT

All the meals came out within 5mins of each other AND they used our names to correspond to meals so people weren't going 'Oh what did I order again'

ALSO, the 25 steaks were all done to how each person asked them to be done, which for 25 people is awesome. I can't fault them at all for this.

They were also nice with the bill and let people pay for their own items rather than making us pay all in one go.

10/10 for effort and amazingness on their part and 10/10 for food quality.

Would highly recommend to anyone/everyone.

This was our third visit to this delightful restaurant. The staff are always welcoming, the menu for lunch (we haven't yet been for dinner) is varied and the food is served promptly and well presented. They sometimes have guest beers on and today is was Saddleback by Purity - my husband raved over this drink!
We were the second table in there at 12.40, but by 1.30 it had busied up considerably, so would probably suggest a booking if you are the 1.pm crowd.
The food on each occasion has been delicious, so would recommend as a decent treat.

I like the inside decor and general ambience, lots of light and and old industrial feel given a modern twist.
The waitress service was good but the food slow to arrive even with the restaurant only being half full. The meal was good but not excellent, with small issues, lack of seasoning in all the meals, some elements of the main not being warm enough. Beef pie with very runny gravy, chicken slightly dry and cheeses chips not very cheesy. These were all minor things but did detract from the experience.
On another point the gents toilets were freezing.
I would go back and hope that the delay in food and minor points could and would be addressed.
Wine was about £16 a bottle, mains about, £13 and starters around £5
