Very friendly people, great value for money

Ideally situated between, The National Exhibition Centre, and Birmingham City Centre.

I have been staying in Birmingham on business quite regularly for the past three years. It took me a couple of months to find this hotel, and I have not stayed anywhere else since.

1. Excellent breakfast,
2. Good hearty evening meals,
3. Warm rooms with crisp clean cotton sheets,
4. Home from home atmosphere,

What more can I say, a true hidden gem.

Stayed here in June 2009 whilst visiting the Rotary International Convention at the NEC.
Terry and Katherine and all the staff are really helpful and friendly and provide an excellent breakfast to set up the day.
Room was comfortable and quiet.
Acocks Green station is a 3 minute walk away with regular services to Moor Street. A short walk takes you to New Street for a 10 minute ride out to the NEC.
If you prefer the bus you can board at the end of the street and change at the Swan roundabout for a 900 or similar service to the NEC/Birmingham Airport, about 15 minutes away.
Couldn't be easier.
Nice Italian Restaurant and also a steak house in Acocks Green. Also a Wetherspoons.
Free wifi at the hotel too - all in all excellent value and highly recommended.

I've stayed at Elmdon Lodge on 4 occasions now and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. The hotel is in a lovely quiet street within a short walk to local shops, trains and buses. My room was comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. As always the food is fantastic....the breakfast is second to none. Katherine and Terry are very welcoming hosts and have always gone out of their way to make me feel welcome....like a member of the family.
Elmdon Lodge is a welcome change from the run of the mill faceless hotels and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a friendly, homely place to stay. Many thanks, Katherine, Terry and all of your staff.

I have had the pleasure of staying at the Elmdon Lodge Hotel, several times a year, every year since 1991 and the last time was last month.

During this period and throughout the Hotel,I have found only the highest standards of hotel-keeping and I speak as an ex Hotel and Restaurant Inspector and current International traveller.

From the warm welcome on arrival, through the clean and comfortable rooms,to the deliciously cooked breakfast, the Elmdon Lodge has it all.

Cares are temporarily forgotten as you submerge yourself in a rare 'home from home' atmosphere of genuinely caring Irish hospitality....an ambience you will take away with you.

Evening meals are by arrangement,or you can bring a take- away into the television lounge and just relax.Alternatively, local 'eating out' options are plentiful and varied.

There is a private secure parking facility at the rear of the building and Acocks Green station offers easy access into the heart of the city.....buses are frequent.

I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending the Elmdon Lodge to anyone who wishes to stay in Birmingham.I find it particularly handy for the NEC or equally for slipping into the City centre and room rates have always been fair.

Connection to Internet access is available via personal laptop.

In eighteen years, the only cause I have had to complain about was that in 1998,a lightbulb was out in my room!

ENJOY THE ELMDON EXPERIENCE.

Sincerely,

Peter J. Coley
