Staying this week at the Hilton metropole as I'm working at the nec, tried checking in on Friday 31.1.2014 with great difficulty, didn't accept my works credit card but did accept it for my colleague! Had to give them my card then they tried to charge me £439 a night when I had a confirmed rate of £299 half an hour later they tell me I'm £850 in credit but decline my room card when I try to sign for a £56.00 meal, I've had a long day and a hour wait to check in, my suite is an old tired room, in no way is this a suite, have a shower, hairdryer works now and again, try and put my personal things in the safe it dosnt work, Battery faulty in tv remote, works sometimes. And when they leave a bottle of new water in my room they remove the glasses three nights running no glasses. Order two drinks at the bar and they have mixed the drinks up, Ask to order the racingpost. For Saturday and reception says they don't have this paper, ask the concierge and he say ask reception, finally the concierge says leave it with me you will get your paper. Ask if there is a shuttle bus to the nec one on reception says no another says yes, bar bill unbelievable !!!!
