“History by Candlelight”

I visited Aston Hall many years ago..........
The Flickering candles created a ghostly but yet welcoming
feeling as you were transported back to the 1600,s.
An overwhelming feeling that i had been there before, the portraits, the period furniture all seemed familiar.......
Imagine defending the house against the Roundheads........
Lodging King Charles 1st for a night....
I,m sure i felt the presence of the Holte family still in their house.
I now live at Phillip Island..South East of Melbourne but i,m sure it was Aston Hall that ignited my passion for English history.
I would reccomend visiting especially by "Candlelight"
