lots of car parking space but had difficulties firstly getting into it as had to wait for traffic to come out. at end of visit had a very long wait as we wanted to turn right across a dual carriageway and the endless stream of traffic would not stop and nobody gave way. That did not put a damper on seeing all the animals, especially the exotic animals and those we could get close up too. food available on site so we enjoyed some ice-creams and drinks

“Great day out”
Reviewed 18 April 2014

I can't believe this was in birmingham, what a great place locally for a day out.
Not badly priced either £5.50 adults, £3.00 3-14 year olds, free under 3's. And they even do an offer of 2 adults and max 3 children £18.00. Thought that was great.
It's not a huge place which I thought was ideal as it can be so tiring for the kids if you are forever walking.
There's a mix of animals,sheep,lynx,tortoise,snakes,meerkats etc.
The grounds are lovely with flowers everywhere and the most amazing blossom trees, stunning.
We ate in the restaurant which was ok not the best food and a little greasy.
We also had an ice cream these were well over priced and I felt the scoop should be bigger.
The shop area I felt was a little empty, but at least there wasn't hundreds of things to choose from so was actually better.
The nature centre is right next door to cannon hill park so was great to pop over there after also.
There is a parking area which is free.
A great day out we will return in the future.

“Great little place”
Reviewed 15 April 2014 via mobile

My husband and I visited here today with our daughter, on her first birthday. There was plenty for her to look at, even at her age. A little negative however, was that the fencing on the majority of the enclosures was at a height which conflicted with her view from the pushchair. We thought the price was good given the amount there was to see and the animals are spread out enough that even on a busy day, it doesnt feel crowded. Would benefit from a few more staff dotted around to give info about the animals, as where this was offered, it was really interesting. We enjoyed our visit and will definitely go back again.
