A walk around this park is lovely, huge area to explore, there are play things for the youngster, and if you fancy walking further there is the Rea riverside walk to do as well very pleasant indeed Very ideal place to walk cycle or even roller blading plenty of open space for a picnic or there are places to buy a drink or something to eat, downside for us was the Teapot café don't order food unless u want to wait an hour for something as simple as a bacon sandwich like what we did, such poor service ever, lots of people was going up to counter to ask where there food was or how much longer it was going to take, its not like they where cooking banquet.......something defiantly needs to be done to this little café cause it could be really nice indeed.
Also it is free parking at the park a bonus I feel.

have been wanting to go to cannon hill park for a while and decided to take family there for a visit. have to say very pleased and surprised. located on doorstep of egbaston cricket ground, with free parking, found the wide open green spaces and lakes a healthy distraction from the hustle bustle that is the concrete jungle of birmingham. look forward to next visit soon.

Do not go here on a sunny day, it gets very very busy as it is well known and just outside of the city centre. However, if you can put up with all of that it is a lovely day out and has lots of play areas for children.

A lot of litter was dotted around, and the bins were overflowing. The Severn Trent display of the Elan Valley was full of leaves and looks like it hasn't worked for years. The old cricket pavilion/tearooms is falling down and clearly needs restoring to its former glory. The play area / children s rides were shut down and look derelict with a deserted vandalized jeep amongst it!!
Maybe it was early in the morning or just a bad day. The bird life was amazing and I got to see a lovely heron so this made up for it all.
