Owner description: Uncover a world of chocolate delights and enjoy a fascinating, fun-packed day out at Cadbury World. From learning how your favourite confectionery is made and uncovering the fascinating story of Cadbury chocolate, to playing in chocolate rain and adding your favourite treat to a delicious pot of warm liquid Cadbury Dairy Milk. You'll discover the origins of the cocoa bean amidst trees and waterfalls in the Aztec Jungle, before jumping on board the magical Cadabra ride and visiting the brand new 4D Chocolate Adventure zone, a 4D cinema experience featuring Cadbury's most popular characters. Cadbury World is located in the grounds of the original Cadbury factory, but isn't a tour of the factory itself. Instead, you'll discover the history, the making and the magic of Cadbury confectionery as you journey through our chocolatey zones.

“A detour off the canal”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014

We stopped off on route on a boating holiday on The Birmingham Worcester Canal. As a couple visiting without children this is not a destination we would consider again. Although this could be deemed as educational you would be hard pressed to make this last a full day. The guided tour shows nothing of the working factory, it's all very stage managed. No doubt the children would give Cadbury World the thumbs up if only for the inclusive chocolate bars included in the expensive entrance fee.

In contrast earlier in the week we visited The Black Country Living Museum in Dudley. We were completely occupied for the full day. The whole experience bringing history to life. There were lots of school parties, the children taking part in the activities outside in the warm summer sunshine. Not a chocolate bar in sight!

“Great Trip Out With National Holidays”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014

We had a weekend away (2 children, parents and grandparents) with National Holidays calling at Cadbury World on the Saturday. The reviews saying this is a poor day out must really take some pleasing! Our group of 7 to 63 had a great day. The staff were cheerful and welcoming - the tour itself very educational and fun. The chocolate stops were a pleasing bonus - great stuff Cadbury World thanks for a good day - weather was poor bur didn't spoil things.

“An interesting day out”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014

I don't think this is great value if you pay full price but I got it as part of a hotel deal so it worked out really well my boys really enjoyed it and it was interesting to see how chocolate has developed over the years and the benevolent work that the Cadbury family did. We enjoyed the free samples and the demonstrations and being able to buy new varieties of chocolate before they were generally released in the huge shop. It is educational and must be great for local schools but you would struggle to spend a whole day there
