Probably the best Travelodge I've stayed at including Norwich! Great friendly service and nothing is to much trouble for Zia and the rest of the team! It's Even better now since the recent refurb and the king size beds are fab which does make me late for work on occasions! Great value, very clean, modern and good location with free parking underneath, can't rate this place highly enough! Oh and the lodge cafe underneath is not bad either!

This Travelodge was ideally placed for our journey from Cornwall to Northumberland. Easy access to the Motorway (helped by AA routefinder). The staff went out of their way to be helpful. We would certainly be happy to visit again.

We stayed here for two nights and will definitely return. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and the bed was soooo comfortable! Fantastic value for the amount we paid.

I stayed here 3 nights
I thought thr service was great... we asked for extra pillows and blankets and the lady bought them up to us ( I found this rare for a travelodge budget hotel ).

It was cheap and well worth.
The lady at the desk on the 29th November working around sixish was lovely
and the young man who I checked out with on 2nd December was also very polite

All in all a good three nights with no problems

Stayed there for multiple nights and although I was pleased with the room and facilities, I was very disappointed by the a few members of the staff.

Pros:
- Seems newly built and is well maintained.
- The lady and gentleman at the time of checkin were very welcoming and helpful. very impressed.
- Close to City center and the main road links.
- Free parking

Cons:
- Front door locks you out at night and you have to call the reception to be buzzed in. I would have expected the door to be operated by
- A lady at the front desk during the second day (without taking names) was probably one of the worst front desk staff I have ever come across. Her manager seemed quite reasonable and I was surprised how he agreed to let her man the front desk.

Thank you for your review Traveler659. The safety and security of our customers is of great importance to us and so our staff will need to open the main entrance doors for our customers during the night. Our staff are expected to provide great levels of customer care so we are truly sorry to learn that you found our receptionist to be rude. We will be sure to pass on your feedback to the hotel management team so that they can remind of staff of the importance of providing a quality service to our guests.

My wife and I stayed here from 23 to 26 December 2013 whilst visiting family over Christmas. We found the reception staff extremely friendly and helpful. We stay here often when we visit our family in Birmingham and find it suitable for our needs. The room is always clean and the staff are always very friendly. We have never experienced a problem and have no hesitation in recommending this Travel lodge especially for short stays.

We stayed here for 2 nights so we could visit the Bull Ring and the German Christmas markets. The hotel has recently had a makeover and the bed was extremely comfortable complete with4 very plump pillows. The room and bathroom were clean and the staff friendly. The car parking was very good, in fact I was able to under cover . There is an easy Bus journey into the City Centre and a very good pub only a few minutes walk away in Church Road. We hope to use this Hotel again
