We have stayed here now several times in a couple of months. It's location is perfect for us as we like the walk to the local bars and nightlife at Brindley Place. The hotel rates itself 4 star and although it doesn't have the usual facilities that go with that ( a spa, a pool for example) it certainly deserves it's rating! The staff are impeccable! From the check in it is a smooth stay. All of the staff are friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The bar has a lovely ambience and Jack and his team go out of their way to make you welcome. The restaurant has a team of fantastic chefs. The food is fresh, varied and all delicious! The ambience is relaxed and sophisticated. Eren and his team provide perfect service to the perfect food. The rooms are smart and simple with really comfortable beds in them. A nice
mini bar that is refreshingly reasonably priced! Each room has an ice bucket and also Apple computers/ tv package. This is a lovely touch and is not charged extra for! We would
recommend this hotel most highly and look forward to our next visit,

Room Tip: The hotels website does soon excellent package deals

Our room was spacious and very modern, clean, and the staff friendly and helpful.
The mac computer was an added bonus, and easy to use. Nice addition of free wifi but it was a bit slow.
Highly recommend the breakfast, one of the best we've had in a hotel. Worth paying that bit extra for it.
Only downside was the shower. The water temperature was hard to adjust, and I can see from reading other reviews I'm not alone. Got bored of trying to find the right temp so had a cold shower.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the top floor for a better view

The room we had was great with lovely toiletries and gowns, and the iMac TV was impressive and straight forward to use. The location was also great and for the hotel and room, I'd give it 5 stars.

However, I think the hotel was let down by it's restaurant staff and they probably just need a lot more training. We had afternoon tea in the restaurant and they messed up our order, no one seemed to know what they were doing and it was a bit of a shambles. Unfortunately breakfast was the same experience. Great food, when it finally came out. Albeit there were 10 of us, it took an hour for our hot breakfasts to come and when they did, it was very ad-hoc, spread over a 30minute period. We were aware this was happening all over the restaurant, even with tables of 2.

Have stayed in this hotel many times when it was City Inn. Still a great hotel, clean, with pleasant staff (read the other reviews for this bit!). BUT: Breakfast has become a very rushed experience you barely put your cutlery down and the staff are whizzing your plate from you. Furniture and carpeting is starting to look worn and rooms (floor 2 anyway) slightly shabby. Also some of the little extras here are disappearing you used to be able to hire DVDs and CDs free from reception these are no longer available.

Room Tip: I think higher up the hotel the rooms are better

What a lovely relaxed and friendly Hotel indeed, from the moment we walked through the door after a long journey up from South Wales, we were instantly made to feel at home, and it continued for our short stay here. The room was spotlessly clean, and SO comfortable too, in fact it was SO nice, that we were tempted to stay there longer than we should have, but we came up for a Concert at the N.I.A. and this Hotel was perfect for it, and we will certainly stay here again. The breakfast was more than adequate, and served in the lovely " City Cafe " setting, which belongs to the Hotel, and once again, I cannot fault the service here. The check out was simple, quick and easy, and once again, it was a very pleasant affair to deal with the staff here.......

The only gripe we had, trivial that it is, was the silly " i mac Apple " computer T. V. system in the room, which was a damn nightmare to get used to, and I think anybody not used to dealing with Computers, would struggle with this system.......

Room Tip: Book well in advance to get an excellent deal here
