We stayed for one night whilst visiting family. Staff were very friendly and helpful especially breakfast staff.
The room was a good price and it was faultless. Car parking is the only issue but I have never stayed so centrally before so not sure if this is the case for all central hotels.
For me the cost of the car parking was more than paid for by the deal we got on the room.

Room Tip: We had a queen room spacious and quiet.

I stayed with a group of friends on a weekend trip in Birmingham. The hotel room offered everything the girls needed. Hairdryer, iron, excellent mirrors in the room and bathroom with sensibly placed sockets for the hairdryer etc. The shower was warm and powerful but unfortunately no shower cap. The breakfast was excellent and the times suited the late riser. There was plenty of choice and it was tastey. The only critisism would be the lack of refills for tea and coffee. It's a taxi ride from the Bullring shopping centre and New St station. The taxis cost between £5.50 and £7 depending on the driver!

I stayed at this hotel for one night whilst we were going to see top gear live at the NEC. We arrived quite late around 7PM, so we checked in and went for the evening meal. The service was excellent. Also the food was delicious. All of the hotel in general especially the room and bathroom was very clean. One bad thing though was the service was a little slow also we had a car so we had to pay £10 to use there car park for 24 hours. The car park was hard to find and in a tight location for the big car we had. It was underneath the hotel and had limited tight spaces. 1

I stayed here (again) for another expo and from the staff to the rooms, it was what you would expect - a good quality corporate hotel.

Others in the Hilton group, please learn from this place.

Clean, modern, friendly

My only minor gripe is the bar area is small and very very noisy when there is a crowd in - as there was for our expo

Worth a stop here though

The rooms are on the small side, but are well designed - so manage to cram in the essentials: safe, minibar, kettle, wardrobe, ironing board and iron. An iMac is substituted for a TV but there is a range of TV and radio channels available and internet access is free. There's also free wifi which seems to have pretty good speed (although I found the speed better in the room than in the public areas). The small bathroom has a shower (rather than a bath/shower).

The hotel has a (very cramped) car park of its own with allocated spaces available. Although it's possible to get the same overnight rate (£12.50) at the adjacent public car park (but you need to get a voucher from reception), the downside is that you have to pay each time you exit - whereas you can come and go as you like at the hotel. When I called on the day of arrival to enquire about parking, a very helpful receptionist not only explained all this, but reserved a space in advance.

All staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful.

We were looking for a place to stay near to the NIA as we had an event to attend and the prospect of queuing to leave the car parks and driving a couple hours to get home was not appealing – this hotel was ideal as it is a 3 min stroll to the NIA.  There is a multi-storey car park right next to it with 24hr parking for around £15.   As well as the restaurants within the hotel there are a wide range of good quality restaurants in the area, both in Brindley Place and Broad Street. The immediate area around the hotel is peaceful but the restaurant area has a nice busy vibe. If you are going to see a show it would be wise to pre-book somewhere for an early supper as it was very busy and most places we're pretty full by around 6.30pm.

The hotel itself has a clean modern feel, slightly minimalist. It was mid week so unsurprisingly there were lots of business people checking in; they pretty much dominated the check in and bar area but it was fine.

Room: We stayed in a Queen deluxe on the fourth floor. The room was a decent size, not very large but well appointed, and more than adequate for one night. It was clean with a comfortable and medium firm bed. The Apple iMac tv as mentioned in other reviews was supported by the keyboard and mouse which were in a drawer.  Tea and coffee making facilities were located conveniently next to a plug socket; the mini bar was empty, presumably you need to pre-book this.

Bathroom: Clean and practical, with everything fit neatly into a fairly small space. Good toiletries and towels supplied. Easy to use shower, nice even water temperature and good water pressure.

Breakfast: This was not included so we paid extra for it. There was a good selection of fruit, juices, breads, scrambled eggs, bacon sausages and you could also make your own fresh waffles. One member of the breakfast staff was a lovely smiley lady and by far the most helpful and friendly member of staff we'd met (possibly Betty?). I only mention this because several other members of staff, in particular the night staff, seemed very 'bored' when dealing with guests and even strolling a few feet to the reception desk from the back office seemed far too much trouble.

Overall though we can't complain and would definitely stay here again.

Nice place with nice rooms...the roads were a bit tricky with the car. First timers in the area will have GPS fun and the car park for the hotel is a tight sqweeeze in a big car. The rooms are clean and new although a bit small. The room service is great though and the prices cant be beaten for what you get.

Most of all, round about this hotel, there is loads...especially on the restaurant and the supermarket front. So if you fancy some in room food without calling for room service then try the Sainsburys!

Would defo go back!
