“Very Nice”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 June 2014

Stayed here a few days ago and loved the cleanliness. Everything was great. The bathroom was lovely and well looked after. The room was also lovely and loved the extra touch of having an iMac. An improvement of that it to have more instructions available for those that might not know how to turn the speakers/Mac on.

Great breakfast. Good amount of choice. Wasn't aware that there was a waffle maker at the back of the room as you walk past all the traditional fry ups first. But apart from that it was good.

Only reason why I'm not giving the hotel 5 stars is because the systems where down. As a result check in took longer since it had to be done manually and I ordered room service only for me to be told 5 mins later that I had to find the nearest cash machine outside of the hotel. Apart from that - it was a lovely stay and will be looking to stay again soon.

Room Tip: Room on the higher floors facing Brindley square instead of the streets are much more quieter.

Staff at breakfast were particularly good. They spotted that I had paused over my choices of food and I was asked if they could help. As soon as I explained I was allergic to tomatoes they went into the kitchen to get my food to make sure it hadn't been contaminated by spoons being mixed up at the servery point. Even though they were really busy the following day the staff were still friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable and really clean. On one trip back to the room the card key didn't work the first time and a member of staff suddenly appeared and sorted it out straight away. I would certainly use this hotel again.

We chose this hotel because of its location. We were coming over from Chester to see a play at the Birmingham Hippadrome and this seemed to be a good location. The hotel staff were both helpful and friendly and the rooms were both clean and comfortable with excellent facilities. We would certainly stay here again.

Well located in the Mailbox vicinity of C Birmingham. Only a short 5 minute walk at the moot from the ICC. Adjacent to most upmarket bar/club in Birmingham ( Nuvo) - so very convenient !
Rooms - a bit on the small side but nicely done - with an iMac as a TV and computer with free wifi.
Didnt eat here except bites at the bar. Seems like hotel was full of hens! ( at least 3 hen nights over the weekend). Good value overall.

Very simple check in process by ultra attentive staff. Room was very clean and spacious enough for my overnight visit, although I would recommend a little attention in the shower where the silicon is going a bit mouldy. Stayed on the second floor and was worried about noise but thankfully, nothing :-) Breakfast was a little busy so go early if you want peace and quiet. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Restful and relaxing and only a 3 min walk from the social areas :-)

Ex-Mint Hotel in much and pleasantly redeveloped quarter of Birmingham. Overall, very comfortable, although steep stairs only up from the car park below the building were not appreciated, but this was as it turned out a minor niggle.

My husband and I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Brindleyplace for two nights. What a GREAT hotel! It was clean, comfortable, and had all modern conveniences; refrigerator, computer, tea/coffee, hair dryer, and more. We got a great deal and felt like royalty. The Hilton Garden Inn is a great hotel and we would stay there again. It's worth mentioning that there are some nightclubs across the street and when we were out late one night we saw a lot of drunk 20-somethings who were carousing and urinating against the hotel wall. This is NOT the hotel's fault! But folks staying on the weekend might want to ask for a rear-facing room; ours was and it was much quieter than those facing the club area.
