“Good Rooms”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

I stayed here the night after staying at a sister the previous night.

The hotel does not have the facilities of a normal Hilton but the rooms are smart and trendy, just a little small.

The location is excellent. I am planning to return soon,

I have stayed a couple of times & each stay has been brilliant, the hotel is very contemporary & rooms are really modern. The service is great & my friends and I only payed £50 per night per room so it's great value for money in a city location! Will definitely book again!

I've stayed here a couple of times and would recommend it. Rooms are immaculate with great extras like free wifi and iMac. Having a fridge is a bonus too. Nice toiletries although don't know why they don't have shower caps? Room service is limited and hotel restaurant and bar are expensive but there are plenty good places to eat and drink nearby in Brindley Place. Breakfast is great - you can make your own waffles. It's a bit strange why there only ever seems to be one person (usually Rose I think) that can show you to your table - sometimes this causes queues. Don't know why they can't allow other members of staff to do this.

Room Tip: all rooms I've stayed in are good - nice to overlook courtyard. Beds all very comfy.

Dear Reviewer

Thank you for writing a review on Tripadvisor which we have shared with the team. Guest feedback is extremely important to us and we are glad that you enjoyed your stay on this occasion.

We believe that our location is one of the best, further enhanced with our 2 terrace areas which are the perfect venue for enjoying a drink in the glorious sunshine. Combine that with the fabulous cocktail menu that is available and it’s the perfect way to unwind after a busy day in the city.

We hope to see you again in the future.

Kind regards

Stayed here for one night (Saturday) and we could not have picked a better situated hotel. The Hotel itself excelled our expectations. Our room was perfectly adequate for our stay. Simply furnished but very comfortable. Check in was accomplished very easily by very friendly Reception staff. The buffet breakfast was certainly ample and hot. The best part of the hotel is its location, just a 5 minute walk from all the action in Broad Street and the bars/restaurants in Brindley Place.

Room Tip: Rooms at the fron of the hotel might experience some noise from the cocktail lounge nearby but as ou...

I booked this hotel due to it's location which is great for walking to restaurants and pubs along the canal. If you don't mind a longer walk, the Bullring shopping Centre is about 30 minutes away. The International Conference Centre is also close by.

My review does not agree with others but unfortunately they did not make a good impression with me even before we arrived. I tried calling them two days in a row before our arrival and on both days the phone rang so many times that I hung up before they answered.

Pro - I arrived before the check in time and was able to get into our room.
Pro/Con - We were given un upgrade due to my husbands birthday and our anniversary. :) When I called to ask if the room was bigger than average they said no that they did not have a bigger room and that a room on a higher floor was considered the upgrade. We overlooked the drop off point in front of the hotel from floor 6 of 7.
Con - My husband arrived by car later and said that finding the drop off point was a bit confusing as it is not clearly marked from the road.
Con - Parking is £12.50 a day and you park either below the hotel in a secure lot or in the public car park next door. We parked under. I am not sure the other car park is considered as secure.
We had breakfast in the restaurant one morning. The staff were very friendly and fast to bring coffee/tea and toast. It was a buffet. A bit steep at 14.50GBP each. Reception offered discount coupons of 2 GBP. I am not sure if that was due to the rate we booked or not.
Pro - The room had Apple TV which was handy since we could use the computer option to check email and use the internet. There was an empty refrigerator and several plugs to charge our phones etc. The window could be opened a bit which was a plus.
Con - The bathroom was the smallest I have seen in a hotel in a very long time. It was also not in great condition (see photos) although the linens and shampoo etc. provided where very good.
We would like to visit that part of the city again but with such a wide selection of hotels in the immediate area we would stay somewhere else.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a higher floor (6 or 7) facing Brindleyplace.

Stayed here for 2 nights over a weekend. Room was fresh and clean and was cleaned during our stay. The extra bits in the room make a difference compared to other hotels I.e safe in room, fridge in room, computer with internet access. Considering it was a weekend there was no noise and had a very comfortable nights sleep. Really handy for visiting the bars and restaurants. Would definitely return
