Rooms sizeable, small bathroom.

A/C could not be adjusted properly so melted overnight.

Tends to fill up with club goers at weekends, so was a little noisy at one point - however, hotel acted promptly and sorted it with the guests in question.

Would definately stay again - great location and good value for money.

I selected the City Inn based on the previous trip adviser reviews and was impressed that the hotel lived up to expectations. This was the first time I had stayed at a City inn and would certainly recommend.

Great location just off Broad Street so handy for the many restaurants and attractions near by. But also set back in a quiet square, so no noise to contend with.

Staff were pleasant, efficient and helpful. Rooms were comfortable, modern and it was great to have access to DVD library, in room computer facilities. Nice selection of food at breakfast.

Fitness room is very small, although the equipment is modern and well maintained.

Limited parking at the hotel however there is a public carpark within 1 minutes walk and the hotel offers discounted tickets (approx £11 for a day).

This is a modern hotel, clean and fresh. It's also near to lots of eating places so you're spoilt for choice there.
The room is an average size with ensuite bathroom, although I think they all come with showers rather than baths (I love baths, so this was a downside!).
The biggest benefit of the room was that it comes with an iMac, so you get unlimited internet access as well as TV.
The only drawback really was breakfast. Although they do lay on a buffet spread, it's all quite cheap and cheerful. You don't get individual cafetieres of coffee, the bread is dire and there wasn't much in the way of cereals to choose from. I ended up walking to the nearby branch of Eat where you can get fresh coffee, porridge and decent pastries.

I stayed here with my husband on valentine’s night. The room was furnished well and the mac computer/tv was a nice touch, but the bed wasn’t huge and the bathroom was small with no bath. We booked the restaurant for Valentines night and were really impressed with the quality of food. Unfortunately the service was slow and lacked a professional air. e.g we ordered a bottle of champagne but they didn’t bring an ice bucket, the bread arrived without butter, the food came out before the drinks! The restaurant itself was lovely looking though. This hotel is nice but it’s not the best in Birmingham, I much prefer Malmassion.

One night stay in Birmingham, City Inn is well located off Broad Street. Applie media station in room (409) with free internet and DVD library. Zip bed with choice of pillows available. Bathroom with shower cubicle, plenty of hot water. Noisy air conditioning which can't be switched off at night. Deliveries to adjacent buildings from 7am (reversing alert noise) can be clearly heard from the room. Clean and functional for the business traveller.
