Stayed on broad street travelodge Saturday 8th February.
Staff polite and friendly hotel clean and perfectly situated for a night out on broad street.
However no sleep what so ever was like mental torture. The people in the room opposite us and the room next to us were there together and spent the whole night shouting running from room to room and knocking on each other's doors. The walls are so thin sounded like they were in our room knocking on our door it was a nightmare and totally spoilt our stay. Beware..

We are really sorry to learn that you did not get a good night’s sleep with us Carla E. At all our hotels we request that all customers respect reasonable noise levels with consideration to our other guests. We will also have a night porter patrolling the hotel at night to ensure the safety of others and in order to prevent any disruptions to your stay.

I stayed here because the usual hotels I use in Birmingham were all full. I wasn't expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised. Staff were great and the room was really spacious. Things are pretty basic (no toiletries apart from soap). No hairdryer or iron either but both available from reception. The bed was great - much comfier than many in much more expensive hotels. It is a bit noisy but I always travel with earplugs so it was fine. £35 per night is a great price for staying in a clean comfy hotel in the centre of Birmingham. Great location for eating out too.

Room Tip: think they're all quite noisy from corridors but back of building better than facing Broad Street - take ear-plugs though

We stayed for 1 night in January 2014. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly and the hotel was quiet (we did stay on a Sunday night though). The hotel was very well located if you are going to the NIA (National Indoor Arena), it was about a 5 minute walk by a beautiful canal. There are loads of restaurants situated near by so you won't be short of choice for places to eat out.

We were very happy with our stay and loved the location. We would stay here again.

Couldnt fault my stay really, clean and comfortable room, great location. The only issue was the noise from Broad street, but that can't be helped I guess! A quieter room at the back of the hotel would have been better.

the hotel was very conveniently located, reasonably priced, and at the end of the day you get what you pay for. The staff were pleasant and helpful. its not in the quietest location, but the noise level was acceptable.
