“Pleasant surprise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 December 2013

Stayed here 30th November for one night, we were very surprised by the standard of this very busy city centre hotel, the staff we found to be brilliant, our room was on the 4th floor with two double beds, everywhere was clean and tidy with views over city centre, only fault was being too close to the service lift, very noisy late at night and early in the morning, but we would still return to this lovely hotel.

This hotel is in the best location right on broad street. The staff are friendly, checking in and out was hassle free. Breakfast was of a top standard and buffet style. Room was very spacious with all the amenities. I would recommend this hotel as it's good value for money.

Stayed at Jury's Inn Birmingham for one night on Friday 29th November 2013. We had booked two double rooms but were upgraded to two king size rooms by the friendly reception supervisor. Check in was easy and smooth even though it was busy. Hotel is in a great location, central on Broad Street (with all it's nightlife) and only 10 minutes walk to the Bull Ring. The hotel has a busy bar area, typical hotel prices £4 per pint and a busy restaurant (which we never used). Parking is available in the Hotel car park, however it does cost £14 for 24 hours.
After our evening out we had to undergo a security check to re-enter the hotel, which was reassuring, especially with the number of people up and down Broad Street.
A great short break in a good quality hotel, we will be visiting again soon.

Room Tip: Room 1020 had a city view. Room 1025 overlooked the services and side view of Broad Street.

Perfect location for NIA and all bars and Restaraunts. The most reasonable priced hotel in the area and if you get a breakfast inclusive rate, its even better value. Luggage service is available if you arrive before check in time.

We stayed on a sat night as a family we booked two rooms.

The hotel is in a very good location close to lots of restaurants and bars. The Bull Ring is a bit of a walk from the hotel but it as some interesting buildings on your way.

The reception area is quite large which needs to be on a busy saturday. The bar area and lounge is also spacius and there is plenty of seating.. The all area including the restaurant is quite smart and modern I was quite impressed as the hotel was busy this area was almost full but did not look overcrowded.

Our room was modern well equipped clean the bed was comfey again impressed.

The breakfast was good plenty of choice the hot food was grilled there was fruit cheese and tomatoes ect far better than some budget hotels.

If the hotel would have had an indoor pool fitness centre room safe and mini bar the hotel would have easily fit into the four star category,
I would stay at this hoel again.

The car park was very expensive at £14.20 per 24hr stay that is my only gripe.

Stayed last week. Room was spacious and well equipped, I was on the 15th floor and the view of the cityscape was excellent. Breakfast was fairly standard for this category of hotel. Only gripe was my room was fairly close to a service elevator which was very noisy first thing in the morning.

If you don't know B'ham it's worth bearing in mind that Broad St is home to lively bars, restaurants and clubs. Great if you want that but you might want to avoid at weekends if not.

Good value for £60 and I would return

Busy city centre hotel with a busy check in desk- all guests having to drag their luggage up 4 or 5 stairs to check in- badly designed reception - please fix this!
Don't understand why no room service on offer within hotel- a service in need of consideration.
