Dont know were to stat, bought a deal on groupon for a nights stay, evening meal, breakfast and late checkout. Now the deal didnt cost much so wasnt really expecting anything amazing but i was really disgusted, no wonder this hotel has to offer deals like this to get people to stay!

Upon arriving the hotel is really in the middle of nower, so i wouldnt stay here unless you fancy paying for taxis into the city centre, walking or driving. It looks shabby from outside and looks really run down.

When we entered the reception area we walked into a couple having a dispute with the manager about the groupon deal they had purchased. It was all about stressful and really put me off. What i over heard was that as part of the deal (which states on the voucher a meal up to the value of 2 people for £12.95 which i assumed was each was between two people only which is a joke when the main meals were around £10 each, really misleading and i think this is what has annoyed alot of people)

When we was checking in the lady at the reception told us check out was 12pm (again on the voucher as part of the deal we was givin a late check out of 4pm) I asked her about the late checkout and she basically asked us what time did we think we were going to be leaving - really rude.

When we went to our room it was clean but old looking, small and outdated - we were already annoyed at the location, the state of the hotel and also that we had been mislead, we had travlled all the way from Liverpool, wasnt worth the journey at all!

Myself and my partner decided to leave the hotel as we didnt fancy spending what was supposed to be a relaxing get away in this dump of a hotel.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

Room Tip: Dont stay here

i went on the group on deal. was not expecting much because of the price bt would off preferd a tent in the car park and a happy meal! on arrival we was told that 12.50 for the evening meal was between 2 so we agreed and went for a pint. flat pint i may add! there was no strongbow, no stella and flat budweiser. great start. we complained and gt our 2nd meal free but we didnt realise what we let ourselves in for.5 items on menu. which were all poor. we sent both meals back as the chef was just reheating all the meals in the microwave. it real was the worse place i have ever stayed! the rating off 1 is for the breakfast which was faultless. this hotel needs a good clean aswell as the staff

This hotel is a budget hotel, the bedding was clean and I can't make any real complaints apart from the room smelled very musky. The walls were thin, towels were tiny, but I expect that kind of thing from a budget hotel.
We chose this particular hotel because we needed somewhere with parking, however there was a wedding on at the hotel that evening so we had to park on the street.
Overall a fine stay & the staff were very polite... but if you don't need the parking or are staying more than 1 night then I'd recommend trying to find a similar priced deal at somewhere in town.

Used GroupOn voucher, reception staff very friendly, rooms 'pretty' clean but small. Next room were talking and laughing (fair enough) until 1AM but thin walls kept us awake. Room at the back looked over a nice part of the canal but not much else. Restaurant looked nice for the price but the service was very poor, Maria our waitress clearly had no interest in serving us and made me feel like I was a huge inconvenience to her. I overheard her ordering the bar staff to call a room and tell them to come and collect their room service order from the bar themselves! Food itself was nothing special but right for the price, breakfast was lukewarm to cold buffet style. Free wi-fi in room was useful. Good for stags / cheap wedding venue but not really for a relaxing get-away... unless you're on a budget

Room Tip: As far away as possible from the main hall (in case of weddings!)
