“Rude isn't the word for it! ”
Reviewed 22 June 2014 via mobile

We arrived the pub full of expectation because the outside looked beautiful. When we walked in nobody greeted us so we assumed it's just walk in and sit down. So we chose our own table. As soon as we walked in the staff seemed very reluctant to speak to even speak to us. When they did decide to come over the lady was very rude!. Saying we could only stay until 3 as it was booked. (There was NO reserved sign). In the end we only had two Orange juices. Once we had finished and gone to the bar. The guy behind the bar was unbelievable. We were polite and thankful. Yet he looked as if he was looking down on us and not worthy of he's service. Terrible! Never again. Stay away! They only want you if your posh. Disgrace!!!

“Sunday lunch deals”
Reviewed 18 June 2014

We dropped in by chance for a late Sunday lunch and we were surprised to find they only had the one table left and had been fully booked. The deal was two lunches (main course- choice of beef, turkey or pork) for £12, with the possibility of all 3 meats for £14. The food was good without being remarkable, meat tasty but vegetables a little bland (like the way my mother used to cook them!).
The atmosphere was good and the staff helpful and very young but tried very hard.
We had a sweets, mine was enjoyable but the wife thought hers was very ordinary and the wine was very reasonable.
We had been more than happy with what we had and the value for money but then I had something of a shock when the bill arrived as it was more than I expected. Upon scrutiny they had charged twice for the meals (£14 and £12 when it should have been £14). I questioned this and the error was instantly recognised and a new bill presented immediately. Perhaps a little too quick? who knows but I will check again if and when we return and that is not something I normally do.

“Father's Day lunch”
Reviewed 16 June 2014

We were so impressed with our previous visit that we had to go again just to make sure it hadn't changed. This time we were given the Snug, which was excellent for 6 adults and one grandson! He got a high chair! Staff were helpful and attentive. Meals were superb quality, very tasty and sufficient. We chose mainly from the varied 2 for1 menu and all were delighted. Another memorable visit. Thank you Bull's Head!

“Hidden gem! Fantastic place”
Reviewed 5 June 2014 via mobile

Popped in here without a reservation or any idea what to expect. When I walked in was pleasantly suprised with the inside the decor layout and atmosphere were all great. Ordered some drinks at the bar and found a table outside to eat. We were immediately greeted by a kind waitress who asked if we required menus and told us what the meats for the Sunday lunch were. We ordered the two Sunday lunches for £12 and my boyfriend upgraded to the 3 meats for an extra £2- both were great sizes, cooked well and delicious. We didn't have anything else off the menu but if that food and that of others around us was anything to go by I definitely recommend it. Good deals on the menu with items utilising a two for one offer.
