Had a very pleasant overnight stay. Staff were exceptionally nice despite all beng v busy. Upgraded to premier room over looking golf course. Got a great deal on e bookers - £145 DBB for the 2 of us. As others say, drinks very dear, so guess the hotel makes its money that way. My only criticism is that the restaurant was full of golfers in t shirts and families with buggies. It would be nice if it could have a more formal atmosphere and those who want casual dining perhaps eat in the Zest cafe. Sometimes imposing a jacket and tie rule can up the standard, but I guess it depends whether the hotel wants to raise its game. The food was a bit hit and miss, but excellent in parts. Bar was a little soulless but again the groups of golfers were not exactly looking for a romantic ambience - whereas we were.More
