The service was charming without being intrusive.

The suggested window table was very welcome it enabled me to observe the pace of modern city whilst engaged in some meaningful conversation with the maitre' d.

The main course of chicken tikka masala and boiled rice also went beyond my expectations, the chicken was perfectly cooked on skewers to a golden, tender texture. The masala sauce was a confident composition of marinades, herbs, texture and attitude. Quite simply sublime.

Visit soon and re-educate your pallets.

The prawn puri was exceptional, a perfect blend of heat, aromatics, fresh ingredients and presentation. A masterclass in

Every year around XMAS myself and work colleagues go to the O2 accademy to watch a gig, followed by beers and curry. It has become a joke about the quality of late night curry we have at our Xmas night out but Spices of india has broken the mould. What can I say we were all really surprised with just how good the food was even at 1.00am. Service was good waiter was friendly even with a bunch of merry guys. Decor is a little tired but its the taste that counts and this is a firm winner. Cheap to

We had an excellent meal here. Tasty and good portions for the starter. Main of chicken pasanda and tandoori mixed grill. Food was tender and freshly cookies. Washed down with Cobra beer. Window seats the best to watch Birmingham traffic. Would recommend to the many who stay in the myriad of local hotels

Found the restaurant through searching trip advisor as my daughter and I were new to Birmingham. The restaurant had had mixed reviews but we decided to make our own minds up . At first we were unsure as on aproaching the entrance as it did not look inviting and on entering restaurant we had to wait several minutes for a waiter to seat us . We ordered our food and thoroughly enjoyed what we had . The food was piping hot and the sauces accompanying our chicken were the best we have had in an indian restaurant in a long time, the cost was very reasonable and the staff very friendly. Therefore make your own minds up and give it a try. If we return to Birmingham we will visit again .

After a disappointing day watching the Swans being beaten by Aston Villa we were in desperate need of cheering up. Top marks to the staff who made us very welcome and went out of their way to recommend and suggest various dishes for us to try. The food was fantastic best curry i have ever had, cant wait to go back to Birmingham just to visit Spices of India again.
