“Excellent Local Amateur Theatre”
Reviewed 31 October 2013

We have been going to Hall Green Little Theatre for several years. Completely run by very enthusiastic amateurs, the quality of the productions is very high. We have recently seen Fawlty Towers (hilarious) and Something Unusual (two illusionists with an incredible act). Derek Jacobi is the patron - we met him at the theatre a few months ago; what a lovely unassuming man, as well as a brilliant actor.
Tickets cost either £8 or £10 (plus annual membership fee of £1), drinks at the friendly bar before, during or after the shows are amazingly cheap. Free parking. Why go to central Birmingham (or London) if this is on your doorstep.
Support it - it's brilliant!

“A wonderful local Am Dram Theatre which needs more members.......”
Reviewed 23 August 2011

I have been going to this theatre for around forty years and have seen many good and even many more excellent productions. I have also introduced many friends over the years who have become regular members. Audience membership is only £1.00 per year and this cost hasn't increased in all the time I have been a member.
To any local people I would say get along there and join, tickets are at very reasonable prices and there is a BAR which stays open after the show! making this a good night out for families or groups of friends. Why not take your children or grandchildren to the PANTO, there is one every year and its's far cheaper than the professional ones.
Ali Baba this year I believe sounds good to me.
My congrats to all who have entertained me and my friends over the years - keep up the good work and see you next season.

“Tragic drama portrayed brillantly”
Reviewed 3 August 2011

Slaughter of the Children had its premier this week at HGLT and has left audience members both moved and stunned. The content -that of the tragic events in Beslan 2004 when terrorists took over a school and held 1200 hostage- is a brave subject to tackle, and it is a superb piece of drama. Five young actors take on the roles of parent child teacher soldier and terrorist which they are beyound excellent. Its only on till Sat and I would strongly recommend that you get along to watch- you won't be disappointed.
