I stay in Birmingham frequently for work and stayed at the Mal for the first time this week. The service was terrible. 15 minute wait to check in as there was a huge queue and only 2 people on the front desk. 10 minute wait for breakfast as there were not enough staff to clear the numerous dirty tables and then a queue of 20 people to check out on the morning I left. Not a single apology the entire stay. When I asked why the service was so bad the response was they were understaffed. Really disappointed, I expected more.
