Booked into Hotel La Tour on the Friday of Easter weekend with my partner. Perfect location for both Moor street station and New street station. Our room was perfect with real up to date technology. Very clean with tea & coffee making facilities. The bed was very comfortable. Really trendy and modern hotel with impeccable staff in all areas of the hotel really friendly and helpful. We was on the fourth floor and didn't experience any problem with traffic noise as other review have stated. We enjoyed our stay so much rather than going home Sunday like we had planed we booked in for another night :) which moved us up to seventh floor which was a great improvement as the WiFi connection was A LOT better. There was only one complaint i could make which was on the fourth floor both our phones didn't receive a mobile service and the WiFi was a poor connection, but seventh floor was perfect. Also as part of our stay We did order room service and the food was 1st class we really enjoyed it. We didn't eat in the restaurant I would assume the food would be amazing if after hours room service was anything to go by. we also had the afternoon tea on the extra day we stayed I really enjoyed it but my partner didn't but I think that's due to personal taste not quality as it was top quality. All in all we definitely recommend and will be returning!!!

Stayed 2 nights on the Easter deal £199 with afternoon tea ..... great deal this hotel never fails to please staff are always to helpful we went to the hippodrome which was an easy walk from the hotel which is not a very scenic walk but I think quicker than a taxi as they have to go on the outskirt . Relaxing time breakfast was lovely would suit everyone live music in bar stay here and you will not be disappointed

Have wanted to stay at this hotel on previous occasions, but managed to book a two night stay for the Dancing on Ice Show last Friday evening and a days shopping on the Saturday.
The staff were friendly, smart, efficient and a credit to the hotel. The room was first class, comfortable bed, lovely linen, bathroom excellent with great shower. Tea/coffee facilities always welcome. We ate in the restaurant on the Saturday evening and the meal was excellent. Breakfast was enjoyable the only downside the cooked breakfast was only "warm", but the fruit and croissants were perfect.

Purchased tickets for a concert months ago for the lg arena, when it dawned on us it was Easter weekend I kept checking secret escapes for a deal in Birmingham for a long weekend stay & this hotel came up. We booked 3 nights B&B for 2 at a total cost of £240 & what a fantastic deal. The hotel is clean, modern and in a great position for shops & restaurants. We had an executive room on the third floor, which was not as big as I expected but was nice, modern & clean, I liked the high tech touches, shower was roomy but shower pressure was not good, especially when washing long thick hair it took ages.
The bar area was nice, plenty of comfy chairs & sofas and friendly bar staff. Only used the restaurant for breakfast, the breakfast selection was fab and served over a 3-4 hour period which meant it was never packed.
The reception staff were very friendly & helpful & even remembered where we had been or what we were doing & asked if we had enjoyed it afterwards.
As we were there for 4 days & weren't intending using our car at all they recommended we parked in selfridges car park rather than their own as it would save us £35, I can't believe it only cost £5 for 4 days it's more expensive to park in sleepy yeovil for 1 day.
Had a great weekend, thank you to all the staff for their friendliness & helpfulness, we would definitely stay here again, after we have paid off the shopping bills from this trip!

The whole concept of the Showstoppers package is an excellent one! The meal in The Aalto was very good…taxi to NIA on time and very convenient….when we returned we had the cheeseboard and then a very good night's sleep in room 431…the bed was particularly comfortable!
The breakfast the next morning was one of the most comprehensive (and tastiest) that I have had in a hotel.
The Showstoppers deal made our Easter weekend trip to see the wonderful Torvill and Dean at the NIA an occasion to remember!
We are looking forward to staying with you before we travel to Birmingham Airport early the next morning en route to Nice in France.
Thank you again!

We booked the hotel through secret escapes as a last minute getaway for me and the wife. We stayed in an executive room, which was very nice. A decent size room with a large comfy bed. The rooms are very modern with some of the latest mod cons that people actually need and want. I know its only little things but the use of bluetooth with a speaker in the bathroom and usb charging points. Being able to use the phone to control things in the room such as the lights for the whole room. The rooms were also very clean.

We only had the breakfast in the hotel as it was included in the package. It is a normal buffet selection like in most hotels but is very nice. As nice as it was if paying for it at £17.95 I dont think i would bother.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Secret escapes were having a problem with sending confirmation emails and the hotel did not have my booking but within 30 seconds of being on the phone they had arranged my booking and room for the visit.

Its only a 3min walk to the bullring shopping centre and city centre. I would advise anyone travelling by car to park in the Selfridges car park as its only £5 for your whole stay compared to their own car park which is £10 a night.

Unless you get warm at night make sure you turn the air con off about an hour before going to bed, it doesnt seem loud during the day but at night it does seem quite loud and when turning it off it rattles for about an hour after.

A Super cool hotel right in the centre of Birmingham. We used the Hotel Tonight app that morning as we are from Manchester and wanted to stay in Birmingham for the night, there was a few hotels to choose from but decided on this lovely looking hotel.

We arrived at the Hotel which is around a 10 minute walk from Birmingham New Street Station, or a 2 minute walk from Moor Street Station, it looks really modern from the outside and looks newly built, as we entered the lobby from the cool revolving doors the atrium strikes you with its beauty. its all very modern looking, there is a little check in desk and a few do it yourself check in kiosks, all the front desk staff was really friendly and courteous.

Our room was allocated on the 3rd floor, everywhere is really secure and you have to use youre key card to access the corridors and youre room.

Our room was a city room and it was at a good size with a large bathroom with a huge shower(no bath) a huge bed and the rest of the room looked great! the only issue i had with the room though was the confusing buttons to control the rooms lighting, also there was only one plug socket on one side of the bed? what about the other side? i don't understand why they don't have a plug socket at each side of the bed so that each person can charge there phone up through the night, but not a big deal.

The hotel also has a lovely bar and restaurant on the 1st floor though i thought the bar man was a bit stuck up and not that friendly, we didn't eat in the restaurant but the bar was lovely with huge chairs and sofas to sit on. it was all very cozy and romantic.

So if youre looking for a modern hotel right in the city centre of Birmingham then this is a good choice!

Room Tip: Ask for a room over looking the bullring on a higher floor.
