“Good hotel in a great location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 December 2013

A great hotel less than 100 yards from Broad Street and an easy walk to the shops. Our double room was quite small but fit for purpose.
Everything was clean and in good condition.
The bar was a bit slow in the evening but served a good selection of drinks.
The breakfast was one of the best ones I have ever had at a Premiwer Inn and Holly one of the waitresses was so helpful and friendly.
Parking was only £5.00 for 24 hours which is great value for Birmingham
The only negative comment I can make was that Housekeeping were knocking at our door at 8.30 on a Sunday morning which wasn't very good.

Only the second time I've stayed in a Premier Inn (and the first time for my wife). We normally stay in another budget hotel chain when visiting friends, but for some reason they were considerably more expensive this time.

The hotel is centrally located, and has limited parking (although we were lucky getting the last space at nearly 3pm) which costs just £5 for 24 hours for residents.

The staff were very friendly and efficient throughout our stay.

Everything was clean and well kept throughout the hotel and the bedroom. A nice firm mattress and pillows (softer pillows are also available in the room).

Stayed here in December to visit the Bull Ring and to visit the Christmas Markets. Hotel was brilliantly located, within walking distance to Bull Ring and Markets. Hotel itself was spotlessly clean. Staff were polite and helpful, couldnt have asked for more, would definitely return.

I've stayed at broad Street canal Street 2 times before this, both for the Birmingham frankfurt/Christmas market.

The last two times (and at the point of booking earlier this year) the car parking was free.

It is no longer free and is now more difficult to find a space owing to any Tom dick or Harry being able to park in there.

According to the girl at the desk, they had no choice when the council took over the car park.

I have trouble believing the council have anything to do with it.

The room we were allocated, 203 needed some tlc.

The bathroom especially, with the door not closing properly and the units losing their laminate.

We were woken several times by a particularly loud mouthed group of women next door between the hours of midnight and 3am.

Rather than making me aware of the good night guarantee or apologising, the front desk lady said she'd simply make a note of it.

Unfortunately, I fear we've seen the best this premier Inn had to offer and this experience has been he worst in my history of staying at premier inns.

It's nowhere near the pitiful offering of travel lodge, but I definitely won't be staying here again and that disappoints me more than that poor front desk lady could ever realise.

After a frantic search for a space on the car park we received a warm welcome from an efficient reception. The room was comfortable and even though in the middle of town we had a good night's sleep. The food in the restaurant was good. We were treated very well by all of the staff!

We have stayed at quite a few Premier Inn's around the country and have always been satisfied but on this occasion we we're let down. We booked 2 rooms, one for ourselves and the other for our elderly father. This was a treat after a show in Birmingham. The rooms were small and the bathroom needed a little attention (bath sealant needed replacing. We had to pay extra for wifi and parking. We booked an evening meal at the hotel and waited 11/2 hours for the starter. We waited a further 1/2 hour for the main course which arrived cold and we went back to the restaurant later together our dessert which we took to our room. It was an absolute shambles and all the other people in the restaurant were complaining. The whole situation spoiled our treat for our Father.
We had stayed in a Holiday Inn expressing Oxford on the two previous nights to this and the two places could not be compared - the holiday inn was excellent. The staff tried their best and were pleasant but there were few of them and they couldn't cope. We would not stay in this hotel again but would go to other Premier Inn's. Our room overlooked the car park and was a bit noisy.

Me and my partner booked this hotel for 30/11/13. It's the first time we have left our baby for the night so was really looking forward to it. We had a great time shopping and then the German MArket! When we got back we had a drink in the bar and went to sleep, just as I closed my eyes the room was literally shacking from the music of the guests next door. I went straight to reception where I told a receptionist who said I'm just training and I'll sort it out. No one came to tell the guests to turn it down. During this time to more men went into the room( there must of been at least 5 people in that room) I went back to reception where a male member of staff came and told the guests to turn the music down and that there shouldn't be so
Many in one room, no one left the room tho! They turned it down but then it wen back up, you could hear it it the hall too. I had to again get dressed and go to reception to tell them, where yet again they we're told to turn it down, not a word about the amount of people they still had in the room. We did get a refund but felt upset as this ruined what had been a great day! We could of stayed at home with our baby daughter for all the hassle we had. 3 times to get it sorted but then it only stopped cause they a all went out. What was meant to be a nice rest from out baby turned out to be a noisy and hassle night.
