“Very good hotel excellentely located”
Reviewed 3 October 2012

If you are planning on staying in Birmingham's city centre, close to Brindley Place this is a very good option. Hotel just opened so it is completely new and clean. Rooms are nicely equiped and have comfortable beds. Complementary wifi is offered, it was very very slow tho when I stayed here.

Breakfast is good but not great but then again it was included in the room so great value for money.

Normally I would stay here again but I rather stay at the Hilton Garden Inn - Brindley Place. It is just a little bit better in my experience.

Dear Mike,

Thank you for pleasing review of our hotel and I'm delighted you enjoyed our comfortable beds.

On the note of the Wi-Fi, work has actually begun boost the signal within the Hotel, this will ensure the signal does not slow down during high usage or peak times.

Thank you again, and i look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel!

Kind Regards

The hotel is in the middle of Downtown (e.g. the going out district) of Birmingham. Many restaurants, bars and clubs around (aimed mostly on students). Close to some major business spots as well.

The hotel looks quite horrible form the outside (made in the 70s) but was obviously recently refurbished inside.

Staff is friendly, rooms are better than expected (new, comfortable bed, acceptable bathroom, flat TV).

A bad experience was the wireless internet (too slow for business purposes) and the breakfast facilities (no salt and pepper at the table, coffee out of a cheap coffee machine, no service, very average food) - I thought I was in a canteen but not in a hotel. Also I had to change the room as I thought the AirCon was definitely too loud.

You'll get a good budget hotel, but don't expect any Hilton standards. Modern and better than you could expect from the outside. A good, but not my favorite choice in Birmingham - a 3star hotel.

We stayed here for one night as we were attending a concert at the Symphony Hall (which was easy to find just a few minutes walk away). It was also within walking distance to the Bull Ring, Birmingham New Street Station, the Sea Life Centre, Museum and the NIA.

Check-in was quick and professional (as was check-out). The room itself wasn't very big, but completely adequate for our needs and very clean (good to have a proper iron and board in a hotel room!). The bed was extremely comfortable and with super-soft pillows. We were on the 9th floor and it was absolutely quiet.

The breakfast was very good. Lots of choice (although perhaps lacking a bit of fresh fruit?) and no queues, comfortable seats.

We got a fairly good deal and if we were heading back to Birmingham we would definitely look to stay here again.

There is no parking here (and this seems to be the case with several Birmingham City Centre hotels we looked at). We used the Q-Park over in Brindley Place, which was £10.50 (discounted from the standard £15 24 hour rate - they give you a discount card on check-out to use when you pay the ) which was a decent and secure carpark and we were fine leaving the car there overnight. It is only a couple of minutes walk away - although there isn't anywhere to stop directly outside the hotel to drop luggage.

The hotel really doesn't look much from the outside but it's a real surprise inside. The rooms are great value and very clean and modern. There is no car park onsite but you can park at Five Ways Euro Car Park nearby for just over £6 for 24 hours. Breakfast and wifi access are included in the price and the hotel is located on Broad Street which is a short walk from many restaurants and bars. I regularly stay in Birmingham on business trips and will use this hotel again in the future. Highly recommended.

Very reasonable rate, very central location and not noisy at all (facing street, 7th floor). Very compact room but good enough for business trip purposes if you are not after amenities etc.

Tip for people who are driving - My friend drove me there and we had trouble looking for it at first coz the hotel doesn't really have a street level interface. They have steps leading to the entrance of the building (office conversion?) and there is no place for you to park right in front of the entrance to unload your luggage etc. you might want to check with the hotel where is the best place for you to park and unload etc.

stayed here on Friday 21st Sept 2012 after the Michael McIntyre concert which was a laugh all the way through. The hotel doesn't look much from the outside but don't be put off = apparently the hotel only opened in May this year and as such the whole place is fresh, clean and new. Breakfast was just amazing with so much to choose from including yoghurts, cereals, fruit, full cooked etc - all buffet style so you can help yourself to whatever takes your fancy. The bedroom was everything you'd expect from a Hilton, very smart, new, fully functional etc. Great shower!! We had a corner room on the 16th floor with great views over the city and beyond. This hotel represents really value for money.

Stayed here for the second time last week. Stayed back in April and was that impressed I sent an email to the management congratulating them. This stay was just as good.

The hotel is at the top end of Broad Street so good location, amazing views from hotel windows.

The rooms and the whole of the hotel is immaculate. You will see cleaners everywhere. The bed is amazing.

The staff make this hotel even better, everyone from security, cleaners and receptionists are polite, helpful and absolutly brilliant.

Value for money, staff that make the stay a pleasure and a good location. This hotel is a gem and looking forward to staying again.
