Hampton by Hilton Birmingham Broad Street

I visited Birmingham for business and stayed two days at Hampton by Hilton Birmingham Broad Street. Location is good, close to restaurants, bars, and shopping within walking distance. Staff friendly and helpful, rooms fresh, clean nicely decorated, bathrooms very good. Breakfast was ok, bacon, eggs, sausages and toast, but I would have enjoyed a wider variation of bread, some cheese and perhaps ham. All in all, I will certainly consider this hotel when going back to Birmingham.

Great value, clean spacious rooms, large TV lovely shower with free shower cream, shampoo and conditoner so no need to take any, also full size iron and ironing board in room. Excellent breakfast which s free for everyone. Well situated for the NIA and symphony hall. Not much of a bar so not great for socialsing in the hotel or having a night cap. Hotel charges £10.00 for car park, you can park next door at Euro park 24hrs for £6.40. Overall the best value hotel we have stayed in.

Stayed on a Saturday night to see a show at the Symphony Hall. Chosen for its location and were not disappointed. On arrival met by the hotel manager and asked if we would like to be mystery guests for our stay with a bottle of champagne served to our room for our trouble & paid for our car parking. The review sheet was extensive and we were very conscientious about our task. The room was light well equipped and mostly clean (except around the edges & under the bed). Bathroom was excellent with soap, moisturiser & conditioner dispensers. The shower drain was too small and inefficient (mentioned at our review & was duly noted). Breakfast was a bit of a bun fight but good selection and plenty of it. Only down side was that there was nowhere to put trays while getting food, drinks etc (again noted at the review).
The main down side, although not the hotel's fault, was a very loud argument on our floor & the floor above at about 4.00 a.m. It took the staff some time to diffuse the situation (again mentioned at the review). Steps are being taken for security microphones as well as cameras so that any disturbance can be dealt with quickly.
On the whole extremely good value for money and close to amenities. Staff very pleasant and helpful (although we did ask for an extra duvet three times).
We would definitely go back again when we are attending another concert.

Stopped there in a double room for a night with husband and 8 month old baby. While bed was comfortable it could not fit the three of us, but maybe I should have asked for a cot. Room was clean enough and breakfast tolerable. However taking the location into account it is pretty good value for money so would recommend.

Me and My 2 Cousins stayed here for one night on 20th April as it was a Friends Hen Night and we were going out around Birmingham for the evening. I stumbled upon this hotel through a random website as I was looking for a cheap but nice hotel, I was very pleased when it only cost £53 - which worked out to about £17.50 each (we had a family room).

We got to the hotel at approx 7pm (A little late than planned) we then saw a sign that the car park was located at the back of the property, we had to carry on down broad street untill we found a turning to go to the street the back of the hotel and eventually we found the car park, i think the price was £10 for 24 hours parking, however I do love a bargain so i decided to see if there was any cheaper parking up the street - we literally drove to the next car park and it was £6.50 for 24 hours so we decided to park here, although this wasnt joined to the hotel it was still very secure (it was part of the casino car park) and it was only couple mins walk to get to hotel.

When we arrived at the hotel we discovered the reception was located on the 3rd floor, so off we went to check in, It was a speedy check in which was brilliant as we were in abit of a rush to get ready - The lady gave us our room keys (Our room was on 7th floor, friends on 16th floor) She then explained the breakfast times and off we went to check out the rooms.

As soon as we walked in our room we were taken back by how lovely the room was, the room had everything you could wish for, 2 comfy double beds (1 was sofa bed), flat screen tv, telephone, hairdryer, tea/coffee facilities, plenty towels, iron etc. We took it in turns to shower before getting ready for our night out and we all noticed how brilliant the shower was and very big aswell (Could have stayed in all night)!! It also had Shower Gel, Shampoo and Conditioner on the wall aswell, ideal if you had forgotten to bring your own!

Once we were ready, off we went on our night out, which started on Brindley place - Literally 2 mins away from hotel, Briliant location!! We had a Lovely night and ended up in Reflex night club (Pure 80's/90's Cheese music - Brilliant) It had been a Long day so decided to head back to hotel about 1.30am - When we got back there was a security guard standing on door which I thought was brilliant to keep any trouble away and also to get back into hotel you had to swipe your room card which keeps any un-wanted visitors out - Made is feel very secure.

When we got back to room I wondered if we would be disturbed by the noise outside but we heard nothing at all - Quite suprising as we were located right on noisy broad street. We had a Lovely nights sleep, the bed was soooo comfy!!!

We awoke around 9am and decided to take advantage of the Free Breakfast - They serve till 11am on Sunday (Ideal for late risers). The Breakfast was Lovely and Fresh - It included a choice of cereals e.g. Cornflakes, weetabix, coco pops. Then you could have a Full English e.g. Bacon, Sausage, Scrambled Eggs, Beans, Hash Browns, Toast. Only thing I missed was Mushrooms and Tomatos on Breakfast but everything else was so Lovely it made up for it!
Also, For those who like the Continental Breakfast they had Pastries, Cakes, Yogurt and Fruit! aswell as offering a selection of Juices and Hot drinks (Machines).

Overall, We had a Lovely stay - Would definatley recommend and visit again!
