“Absolutely fantastic location; lovely clean hotel”
Reviewed 24 October 2013

Stayed here for 3 weeks, and do not have a bad word to say about this hotel.
The whole place is spotless, the housekeepers are absolutely brilliant and so friendly. Some of the Reception staff went above and beyond to help me out as well, particularly as I was staying such a long time.
Broad Street is always busy and noisy, but I had no real issues with this, and my room was at the front of the hotel overlooking Broad Street.
Location is great - 5 minutes from Brindleyplace and the Canal, SeaLife Cente, NIA... 10 minutes from Town Hall, and just a little bit further to the Bullring. Also close to Botanical Gardens and Cadbury World too!

Stayed on Oct 11/12 for Bruno Mars at NIA. This is second time at hotel and again can not fault hotel for price and area that it is in. On the main Broad street area close to NIA and ICC and within 10 mins of city centre. The room we had on 8Th floor was roomy and bed was very comfortable. It had a large walkin shower and all soaps were provided in squirty bottles that are attached to the walls. There is a realy good quality hairdrier which is not fixed to set power point (my wife found this good as she could go to where there was most light, to do hair).

On saturday morning went for breakfast about 09.15 the restaurant was quite busy but there was plenty of choice and items that where missing did not take long to get replenished. Went about same time on Sunday but was not as busy.

The only warning again from last time, the room service maid was very keen to tidy room, which is not a bad thing, but she knocked the door about 8.50. So please remember to put up do not disturb sign if you want a lie in. LOL. This said we have booked to stay again in December for Xmas market cannot wait.

Room Tip: If you want a good place to eat go across the road to The Bombay Mix, Indian restaurant have eaten...

As a group with 20 years experience of traveling around the uk for our tour we found the Hampton to be one of the cleanest and most comfortable we have used. If you need secure Parking and would like to be right in the middle of town for the evenings entertainment this is the one. With great value and Breakfast provided in your room rate I would find it very difficult to stay anywhere else in Birmingham.

I could not fault this hotel for the price. Highlights:

- quiet room, with good facilities and every convenience
- gym, which was pretty reasonable
- fab breakfast, lots of choice and all hot and fresh
- friendly helpful staff
- great location
- for budget hotel good reception with bar and reasonable choice of food.

I would recommend it with out reservation.

We stayed here on Friday 18th October for one night after a golf day in the area. The hotel is situated in an ideal location for everything around the centre of Birmingham. Everything about the hotel was excellent from the secure parking on arrival to the pleasantness of the girl on reception that dealt with check-out.
The rooms were spotless and spacious and the breakfast in the morning was excellent. Considering the hotel is situated right on Broad Street there was no issues whatsoever with noise.
Free wifi is included which is a bonus considering what some hotel chains are currently charging. The only small gripe I had was that the lifts seem very slow getting to each floor and considering there are 17 floors in the hotel that might be an issue for people in a rush.
I would heartily recommend this hotel to anyone that is looking for no frills quality and I will certainly use the hotel again when in Birmingham for a night out.

Stayed at Hampton last night. The reception staff was very friendly. The room was spotless and the wifi connectivity was really good. Good selection for breakfast. One minor observation. I assumed the rooms thermostatic controls only needed adjusting for the system to work. After further inspection, I realised that you have to manually initiate it (press a button) but once switched on it was fine
