“Fantastic stay...”
Reviewed 8 December 2013 via mobile

We stayed here for 2 nights from the 6th December and couldn't really find any faults. Yes the lift can mean a short wIt and the breakfast are is busy! However, the positives far out way these minor criticisms. The hotel room was very comfortable and the bathroom immaculate with nice toiletries as an added bonus! There was plenty of choice at breakfast and we really didn't have a problem finding somewhere to sit. The staff we met were friendly an very helpful. Would stay here again as only a short walk into the city centre & would definitely recommend.

We stayed one night for my husband's birthday as we were going to the Classical spectacular at the NIA. Hotel is really nice, great location close to the town centre, room nice, great shower. Reception should mention when you check in that you have to swipe your room key to be able to choose your floor in the lift as we ended up going up and down a couple of times the first time but not a major problem. Only downside was even though we were on the 16th floor (great views over city so would recommend a high floor), there was some noise from a disco or similar which went onto gone 1am but if you were out clubbing this would not be a problem anyway! Breakfast has a good choice from cereal to full English, hot food is kept hot and replenished frequently. All in all, a good choice and would definitely stay again if we are ever back in Birmingham.

Room Tip: Higher floors have the best view of the City

Although a mix up initally with our room ( double room instead of a twin ) it wasn't a problem. Lisa, the lovely, friendly always helpful receptionist sorted the hic-up immediately. The hotel is clean, warm and comfortable. Situated within walking distance of the town and bullring. My friend and I have stayed here several time when on shopping trips or concerts. Give it a try, I strongly recommend it.

Location to this hotel is excellent. Room was small, but immaculate. Very comfy bed, lovely shower and nice view. Lifts were a bit of a nightmare as we were on 12th floor and it's a very busy hotel. You have to swipe your card and press your floor number and ride up and down a dozen times before you get there. All the same we had a laugh about it.
Only down side for us was the breakfast area. Because it's so busy at certain times it's a case of fighting for a seat anywhere in the bar area as well as the breakfast area, but the breakfast was lovely although self serve and a little cramped with everyone queuing for food made it a little frustrating.
A little too big for us, but would deffo recommend for the location.

I stayed here on a business trip to Birmingham in November 2013.This is a modern multi storey hotel. Reception is located on the first floor (lifts in lobby). It certainly fitted the bill for me; nice clean modern room and staff that I interacted with were friendly. Breaffast was better than many I have had in hotels of similar grade and price and the dining room was nice. There was one drawback - there was a fault on the floor I was on that meant no hot water for showering. I had to boil a kettle of water with which to shave! They apologised and I am assuming that this was a once off problem.

Stayed at the hotel with my friend last weekend travelled by train and got a taxi from new street station was just under £5. Arrived at the hotel and found reception was on third floor. We checked in very promptly and were asked how high up we wanted and we were given 10th floor. Room was very good two large singles a good bathroom with shower and toiletries provided. Not a huge room but spacious enough for a couple of nights all the usual amenities were provided. The hotel was very busy but breakfast was quick and easy and you could eat as much as you wanted and it was very good. All in all a very pleasant stay and would definitely stay there again
