“Great Hotel for a short break.”
Reviewed 21 April 2014

This hotel was a great choice for my weekend break away. It was very modern and clean just what I wanted, room was a great size and had a fantastic bed. The bathroom was also great and an important part, was clean, plenty of towels provided and in addition the soap dispensers that are stuck on the wall are great too, meaning you do not need to worry about shampoo/conditioner/body wash. Hotel was located close to plenty of bars and restaurants, not far from the bull ring shopping centre either, however at night on the weekend, can get a little noisy with the clubs surrounding, not so much that I couldn't sleep. The hotel and the room has everything you could need and the free Wi-Fi is a great bonus with no problems at all. Breakfast was included and offered a great range of food, whether this be full English, fresh fruit, pastries or cereal however it did get very busy and was difficult to find a place to sit and eat with ease every morning. I would definitely stay here again as it's a great hotel and good value for money for what you get.

We stayed at this hotel to visit our son at university and it is great for the weekend break. Being central on Broad Street gives it the location that is perfect for the shops, restaurants and night life if so desired. Staff were friendly and room was clean. Breakfast is a buffet style, and only complaint was that there was not enough tables for the number of guests at busy times. Would advise that if you are planning on using the hotels free car park, you arrive early, as we arrived at around 4.30pm and managed to squeeze into the last available space.

Stayed here with friends Easter weekend. Efficient check in despite it being 11am we were dealt with quickly and allocated rooms even though official check in time is 2pm. Much appreciated, meant we could settle in immediately and enjoy our city break. Room fresh, clean and spacious. Only complaint would be that poor selection of tea and coffee in rooms, and no biscuits! Breakfast very busy but plenty of choice and food was constantly replenished.

Great hotel, nice rooms, staff fantastic. Bar a touch expensive but on the whole really good.Breakfast fabulous. Can't comment on other meals as I normally eat out. I have stayed here many times and love it, just make sure your room is away from the lift, as the polite lady stating the doors are opening/closing when guests come in late is a tad annoying.

This hotel is modern and contemporary in design. We were pleased with our bedroom. It was clean, practical and well designed. It had everything you'd need with no frills and free wi-fi. The bathroom was lovely - a large walk-in double shower and white suite. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash were all provided in pumps on the shower wall. The bed was large and firm but the pillows were a little too soft and small for our taste. The breakfast was buffet style and had pretty much everything you'd require. There was the choice to have a hot full-English breakfast or cereal and toast or continental. No complaints. It is in a good location for the ICC, the restaurants and clubs as it's on Broad Street. It was a good choice and good value. We'd definitely come again.

This area is not bad plenty of pubs and restaurants we stayed on a tues and wed night- quiet. Have been warned not suitable for weekend stay night club next door and bars open to 2am. Plenty of buses pass going just about every where £4 a day ticket. Small Sainsburys near by if you need anything. Disabled door to side of hotel sticks but staff appear quickly Breakfast very good area cleaned immediately. ALL STAFF ARE EXCELLENT. oNLY PROBLEM i FOUND WAS AN UNCOMFORTABLE MATTRESS. Shower is a delight would hold 2 easily if its that kind of break. All shampoo dispensers on the wall and full. Tv with lots of channels but only 1 chair in the room, maybe Ishould have asked for another. Bargain meals in o;neils pub close by, another lovely pub next door to o;neils with specials in the evening and a beer garden

Excellent place to stay when short visit required to Birmingham City University. Easy to find, parking available and close to a variety of restaurants. Will definitely return, when visiting my daughter when she starts university.
