We've stayed here a number of times and having got married here I am a bit biased - but it's a great hotel.

We had a great rate on a studio room, huge open plan bedroom and comfy seating area with a massive bathroom, roll top bath and walk in shower. Breakfast was included in our rate which is always good here.

So you get lovely fluffy robes, a mini bar that is actually quite reasonably priced as mini-bars go, nespresso machine and pods, with fresh milk for tea and coffee (a nice touch). The bed was huge and very comfy with luxurious duvet and pillows. We were at the back of the hotel which is quieter than the front so was very peaceful.

The champagne bar is a great place to relax for drinks and there is a great selection of wines (as you would expect) but beers and spirits as well. Breakfast in the bistro is always very good with the full english being the highlight.

This hotel never disappoints, luxurious, contemporary and relaxing and without that corporate feel is the reason we'll keep going back...that and the breakfast.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front can be noisy through the night and early morning so ask for a room at the rear of...

Dear Lowey73

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review on TripAdvisor about your recent stay.

I am delighted to hear that you had such an enjoyable stay and it is fantastic to hear that you are still returning to the hotel to spend time with us after your big Wedding Day.

I only joined the hotel in October of last year so please ask for me next time you are here, it would be great to meet you in person and thank you for your ongoing custom.

Many thanks, Tony

Me and my partner were given a free night's stay after an issue not being dealt with on our last stay. This time they definately redeemed themselves. We very luckily got a last minute booking for a friday night. We were given a top floor room as promised, which was of an exceptional standard. The hotel manager had kindly left a hand written message with a bottle of complimentary water on our arrival. All service along the way has been brilliant. We ate in the bristo during our stay, the food wad lovely but you do get quite a bit more than I expected so I couldnt finish it all! :-(. Overall a good stay and would definately come back again.

Dear Trisha

Thank you so much for your kind comments.

Like any business, as much as we might try, we won't always get it right first time. If we don't get it right then it is down to us to turn in around.

I am delighted to hear we got it right this time and I hope we might have the opportunity to look after you here for many years to come.

I know the biggest concern last time was the creaky floorboards above which was negated by your top floor room this time around. Whilst the creaky floorboards only relate to a few rooms, planned refurbishments this year will ensure that our guests can sleep soundly whichever room is above.

Thanks again for feeding back on TripAdvisor.

Fab hotel in a great location minutes from Snowhill Station. As well as a hotel with extremely comfortable beds there is a traditional pub, fabulous bistro and classy champagne bar all under one roof and if you want to shop till you drop on Saturday, eat fantastic food and then enjoy the spa to chill before departing this is a great place to go.

Room Tip: All the rooms are amazing... not number though they have a French name so if you have a cocktail to...

Dear Gailly66

Thank you so much for the kind review on TripAdvisor.

It is fantastic to hear that you are such a fan.

We look forward to welcoming you back soon.

PS Room names rather than numbers is definitely worth a mention, haha. You are right it can get tricky after a couple of glasses of wine or a few cocktails. Luckily the rooms are all on a loop so if you do go the wrong way at the top of the stairs you will get to your room eventually!

Very impressed with this hotel although I was only there for one night. Service was exemplary, the rooms were a delight. Nothing was too much trouble from booking a taxi to taking my bags to the rooms.

I will definitely staff here next time I am in Birmingham.

Second stay here. Brilliant hotel. Seems to be the best in Birmingham.
Lovely interesting building, think it used to be a dental hospital. Stuffed in amongst the hurly-burly of Birmingham city centre.
Always has lovely staff. Had a great room service breakfast. The pub du vin in the basement is nice and snuggly.
Lovely deluxe room. Superb monsoon shower. Incredibly comfy bed. Really big room. Poor lighting and mirrors for doing hair and make-up.

Hotel du Vin is still the best hotel in Birmingham city centre. Fantastic rooms, the food in the bistro is amazing, the bar is great and the staff are really welcoming and helpful (especially Sophie and Matilde who looked after us so well last night).

Many thanks, be back again soon

We have stayed here on numberous occassions and we booked for my 50th birthday. Again the staff could not be more helpful, rooms spacious and the Sunday brunch is excellent and so is breakfast. Again thank you, this hotel is one of the best. We will be back very soon. Tracey and Paul
