“Good for Browsing”
Review of Selfridges

Selfridges
Reviewed 19 April 2014

Selfridges definitely comes under the category of a 'browsing' shop for me. The ground floor is the only place I normally buy anything, namely Krispy Kreme's! There are some other good eating options like the noodle bar and Yo Sushi and it's great to browse through the food areas, especially the American section and the alcohol. Up to the 1st floor and there is mid-range clothing, verging on the expensive side of things but sometimes possible to find something, however up to the 2nd floor and you get the ultra-designer stuff. It's sometimes amusing to have a look but unless you are seriously monied you probably won't be buying anything here. Overall a good store for a look round though.

If I'm in Birmingham, I always try to get to Selfridges. Fantastic range of men's designer clothes & shoes, a magical food hall, for a foodie like me.
Went here to buy some 'Creed' aftershave, as difficult to buy in most towns. Great couple of hours of retail therapy!

Excellent service and help after poor telephone customer service. Manager offered great help! Even offered some free extras as compensation. Took time to offer advice and solutions

We normally go to Selfridges just for the food court. There's a good selection of places to eat here and it's the only Yo Sushi left in the city centre now.

The rest of the Selfridges is full of big brand big expensive items, which if you have the money or don't mind maxing out a credit card then this is the place for you.

Other then that, it's like any other retail place really. Nothing special or individual about it.

Impressive food hall with a lovely cake stall. Some very expensive designer clothing. A very good technology department. Lots and lots of people buying lots and lots of expensive stuff. However, like so many other British retail centres - totally souless & characterless.
