“Good but needs more work”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 June 2014 via mobile

We went to the new restaurant in jewellery quarter and the overall experience I would say was good. We went through a Groupon offer.
Starters - were delicious.
Mains - were good.
Dessert - was awful.
I rate dessert awful, as they repeatedly cut up your cake and pour custard over it. Just feels like a cheap shop brought cake and cutting it into cubes doesn't help. I'm not a child where I need help cutting my food into bite size pieces.
For vegetarian food I find the price really expensive, especially a portion of masala chips at approx £4.70. That is a lot for a portion of fries coated in spices!
Service is really good however.
Would go again but only if I have a voucher, otherwise wouldn't pay them prices.

“Nice quality food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 June 2014

We went to the jewellery quarter restaurant on a groupon offer. The service was excellent when we arrived, they were very friendly and helpful.

Food was nicely spiced with a nice range of flavours to each dish. The food was served quickly and was clearly fresh. Portions were generous.

I like restaurants with a bit of a buzz and It was quiet but it was only 6.30.

The only reason I haven't given 5 stars It could have been slightly improved by checking if we wanted more drinks and one of the chutneys was a little too oily for my taste.

We will definitely be back.

“Good veggie grub, but felt like I was is McDonalds eating”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 June 2014

We had some great food here, and had the chance to try some dishes we wouldn't normally have at an Indian. It was however let down by the setting - plastic mcdonalds seats, too well lit for a sit down restaurant evening meal, taking away any chance of a remotely romantic meal or sense of atmosphere. No decor and no music. It wouldn't take much to change these things and make it an excellent evening restaurant venue. The waitress didn't seem very interested and didn't smile or make us feel very welcome. Again this could easily be addressed.

Good choice of menu. Value for money. Service with a smile. Love the place food is cooked fresh with good balanced spices.

“Below average”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 May 2014

Was so excited to see a vegetarian Indian restaurant in jewellery quarter, so couldn't wait to try it out. But we were very disappointed with the quality of the food for the price. The food was poor to mediocre, they compromised quality for style, flavors were bland and uninteresting. Decor is ok, layout of restaurant is quite unusual and awkward, service was ok. Price was £40 for meal for 2, but wouldn't return unfortunately. Gutted!
