“As a coffee shop the place is great!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 March 2014

I visit here weekly in the morning. The coffee is great, the place is usually pretty deserted and the staff are friendly to the point of now being on first name terms with some of them!

The cake and breakfast deals are great value and the sofas are very comfy!

“Great food,poor stock control”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 January 2014

My friends and I are regular visitors here, usually on "Steak Club" night. The food is usually excellent as with all Wetherspoons pubs I have visited and the staff are pleasant. However,on several occasions there has been no mustard,English or French available, surely an essential on steak nights.I have On more than one occasion the sweet that I have requested has not been in stock.Apart from the issues raised, always an excellent night out

Arthur R, Manager at The Arthur Robertson, responded to this review, 28 July 2014
Thanks for the review and apologies for the late response! We always strive to improve our customer experience and have taken note of the stock issues you mentioned. We have now changed our condiments to bottles and mustard should always be available (it's a mild English one now, hopefully suiting all tastes). Please do not hesitate to ask for a member of the management team if you are unhappy with availability of food so any problems are noted and prevented from happening again. We look forward to seeing you soon and aim to have any issues ironed out!

“Typical weatherspoons”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 September 2013 via mobile

If you go expecting five star service then you will be disappointed, but if you just go expecting good food at great value then it's fine. Food comes quick, drinks are cheap. Plenty of seating. Toilets were spotlessly clean. Some of the people are a bit rough around the edges but just sit away from them! I wouldn't advise it for families on match days, bet it would get a bit rowdy. Overall, you get what you pay for and I had no complaints.

“poor management”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 August 2013

I live locally, the management is very poor, i complained twice about once abt customer service, and once because the manageress wanted to close the place early because she wantred to go home, I complained directly to head office without causing a scene at the place, I got 2 letters of apology and 2nd time i got some complementary vouchers,

Anyway after about 3 months i was banned by the manageress who want to close the place early, which is a blessing in disguise as I am not spending my £150 a week there, i wrote to head office and they backed the manageress, so dont complain abt bad customer service

Further more the bartop is always wet and dirty, the gents toilets are dirty with wee on the floor, the tables are never cleared of empty tables, you are never served in the proper glasses, the staff are openly argumentative and have not idea of customer service,

because of the area they(managers) think all the customers are thick alcoholics and have no right to complain abt bad service.

Head office customer service is a bigger joke
