“Great Hotel!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 July 2014

I booked this hotel for a family weekend away and the service was amazing. Staff are really friendly and helpful, the beds are comfortable. The rooms are so clean which I loved as hygiene is a big thing for me. I would defo stay again and recommend to family and friends. Only wish there was more natural light in the rooms and if room service was provided. Besides that a great hotel and very affordable.

In December 2013 we stayed at this hotel for the second time as our company Christmas party was in Birmingham. The hotel has been refurbed and is very nice and comfortable and there is a close very reasonable car park close by (which did have free parking on Sunday but not sure it is still free now). The hotel is next door to St Pauls Metro which makes getting into Birmingham itself very easy or the hotel will book you a taxi which costs around £5. Excellent hotel would definitely stay again.

The heading says it all really. I cannot fault this hotel. I am used to staying at the Hiltons and have also stayed at a Double Tree so was a little concerned that Hampton's may be a little 'budget'. But it actually lived up to the contemporary high standards of the Hilton brand. Plush newly furnished totally comfortable rooms with free wifi. However, no restaurant. Something I had not appreciated in the Hampton range so that was a bit of a surprise. So the location became really important. It's not set in the most attractive part of Birmingham and the immediate vicinity is unkempt. The streets were littered somewhat and didn't feel safe at night. It is at least a 10 minute walk from the nearest restaurant. That might not sound like a lot but really, there is only a choice of a handful in that range. You have to walk for 20 minutes to get to a street with more than a couple of choices.

I booked this hotel for a weekend break. The hotel from the lobby down to the room was very clean, the bed was comfortable too. Our room was on the 2nd floor with a tiny window but that didn't bother us. The breakfast was great and the staff friendly and professional.
Overall great stay and excellent value for money.

Excellent hotel, modern decor, great breakfast. Superb value for money. Walk to the city centre along the canals ; this will take you 15 minutes and is a very pleasant, scenic stroll. Car park just around the corner - free on Sunday or £3.20 per day the rest of the week.

No hotel parking, but public car park very close, £3.20 per day. Immediate vicinity around hotel is derelict, other hotels are closer to the city centre. Staff are helpful, and hotel is fresh. Free in room wifi. Room 137 has a false window (curtains over wall) and one small window over looking the roof, unable to be opened.

Stayed at this hotel for one night with my husband on a trip to Birmingham shopping. Had a room on the 17th floor which was excellent comfy double bed with tea and coffee facilities. Bathroom was modern with shower gel shampoo and conditioner dispensers and a lovely hot walk in shower. Rooms are quite compact but ample for an over night stay. Hotel itself is modern and has a relaxed feel with great staff. Breakfast was included in the price and you could help yourself to cereal fruit or the normal cooked brekky with juice tea or coffee. We paid ten pounds to park our car for twenty four hours so not bad value. Would defiantly stay again .
