“Typical Premier Inn”
Reviewed 28 January 2014

If you've stayed at a Premier Inn before you already know the score. You have to like purple decor (personally I find it a bit dark) and difficult to manipulate soap dispensers. The extractor fan in the bathroom is quite noisy (which also seems to be a feature at many Premier Inns I have stayed in) Also at this Premier Inn there are no phones in the room, they suggest you use your own mobile phone to call someone if you need to. More like Travelodge than Holiday Inn Express - and by the time you've paid £8.25 each for breakfast plus £3 for the wifi which I couldn't get to work even the price is starting to look 'Premier' compared to those alternatives. I much prefer the nearby excellent Staybridge Suites to this, and the price is similar. Of course if you just want somewhere to stagger to when you get off the train at New Street, this is ideal, less than two minutes walk from the station. Despite the City Centre location, it was relatively quiet but I did notice some kind of alarm going off outside at around 4 in the morning.

stayed here for 2 nights for a city getaway. the hotel itself is located right beside new street station and is situated between HSBC bank and mcdonalds. this area is located in the heart of shopping district and despite this, the rooms are virtually soundproof as you can hear nothing from outside. check in was very quick and the hotel is spotless. we didnt eat in the hotel but the food looked very nice, hotel also has a small bar which is cosey. towels in room were changed daily and beds very comfy. definitely would return to stay here again

The hotel is situated in the heart of the shopping centre. It is next to a MacDonalds and New Street railway Station. The whole area is under major construction. That said, from my hotel room there was silence. No construction noise and no traffic noise! The hotel is clean and up to the usual Premier Inn's high standards. The staff were very helpful. If you need to park, use Town Hall parking on Brunel Street which works out at £10 per 24 hrs although Sunday lunchtime to Monday 11am cost us £3!!!!
Another good stay at a Premier Inn

Very clean hotel, very friendly staff, breakfast was great and staff encouraged us to eat as much as we could before we checked out! Ideally located next to the Train station and the Bull RIng shopping centre.
