Its hard to write a review of a Premier Inn because, after all, they are all pretty much exactly the same.

This one certainly fit the mold, with a bare bones reception area, average to middling Thyme restaurant, clean rooms, and a decent night's sleep.

The staff were helpful and friendly, which isn't always the case for lower end hotels.

The location next to New Street station was perfect for us, as we were going to the NEC every day for the Crufts dogshow.

The area can seem a bit rough at night, but nothing out of the ordinary for a British city especially on a Saturday night.

This Premier Inn is very new, very clean, comfortable and the staff are, without exception, fantastic. Joyce and her colleagues at breakfast were so warm, friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. The breakfasts were up to usual Premier Inn standard (ie a lot better than many 4 and 5 star hotels). If you are going somewhere for 1 or 2 nights it is not worth staying anywhere else.

I was away for a buisness trip for 3 nights. When i arrived there was a fantastic warm welcome and i was checked into my room with in 5 minutes.
Lovely spacious room, with plenty of towels and pillows. Really clean and simple, with all the essentials. all of the rooms have hairdryers.
I had the breakfast and dinners with my stay.
Breakfast was a buffet with everything you could imagine. Joyce was an absolute star. She delivered the best customer service imaginable. She escorted me to my table and told us the menu, and asked if we required anything that was'nt on the menu. She checked up on us a few times and told us to get seconds to fill up on. Genuinely caring and lovely. She made conversation not only with us but everyone there. Her and her colegues made us some fruit packs to take away with us too. (breakfast was like this everyday)
Overall the team at the hotel are a fantastic one. They wanted nothing more than for their guests to have the most enjoyable stay ever. Probably one of Premier Inns best teams.
On the final day, i had a meeting until 1.30pm. But had to check out at 12, and didnt want to take my lugage, but there is a handy luggage storage service offered to you (its not advertised in the hotel which would be great) but is very handy.
Very personable staff and a great place.
Keep up the good work. :)

I have just spent 3 nights at this Premier Inn and I received the best service that I have ever had within this chain of hotels.
The rooms were really spacious and clean. Very well soundproofed too given the location.
What made it special though was the staff.
They were friendly and helpful in a really personal way.
A shout out to Alex and Declan who made us feel really welcome.
The best service had to come from Joyce though. She was our server at breakfast and she was just brilliant. She made sure we had everything we needed as well as making us up fruit boxes to take away with us to our training course.

Thanks so much Premier Inn. I'm sure I'll be back.

Premier Inn has become my favourite hotel chain for day-to-day travel; no one else is providing the standard of accommodation at the prices that they offer and my stay in Birmingham was yet another reminder of this.

Being able to offer £29 for an overnight stay in a brand new hotel with barely a day's wear to it, immediately adjacent to New Street Station, is remarkable.

The room was large & clean and contained the familiar Premier Inn fixtures and fittings, there was a comfortable bed and a decently-sized bathroom that was bright & clean with a full-size bath.
The public areas were bright & clean, the staff friendly & attentive, and the location is second to none. There was even a power socket immediately adjacent to the head of the bed.

I will return.
