I stayed here on business and chose a business class double room. I requested a high floor and got 17 which is the highest with rooms. The hotel is centrally located with an NCP car park adjacent. It's £14 for 24 hours if you pay the hotel.
Check in was fast and friendly. The room was reasonably priced and included breakfast and wifi.
The room was modern and in an excellent state of repair. It had floor to ceiling windows with great views over part of the city. The Only problem was the heat. It was a warm day and even though the curtains were drawn and the aircon on max, it was boiling. I was unable to cool the room to my preferred setting. The room was generally clean with Only a couple of minor niggles. A hair or twI in the bathroom and a few stains on the cushions, otherwise fine.
The room was well appointed with a mini bar, snacks, trouser press, iron and board, safe, wifi, complimentary nespresso machine and bathrobes.
It was very well soundproofed and I had an excellent nights sleep.
Breakfast was great!!! Good quality Buffet and good service.
All in all, a very good hotel. The service was A1 with friendly helpful staff.
Room service was very good and I can recommend the chicken curry.

Dear guest,

Thank for you such a positive review. I am glad you were satisfied with nearly all aspects of your stay. We have had some hot weather just lately haven't we? The rooms can get warm. The air conditioning needs to be charged slightly to a cooler setting which guests have access to, perhaps something for us to change on a hot day so that the room is cooled upon arrival, thank you for pointing this out.

I hope we will have the pleasure in welcoming you back again.

Have a nice week ahead.

Best regards,
Sarah Duffield

This a great hotel, they never let the side down. I highly recommend this to anyone staying in Birmingham. It is perfect for people wishing to visit the city centre but also we stay here while visiting further afield as were are never let down by the standards.

We had a voucher for two, including massage and full service of spa..when we came in, nobody greeted us, we had to wait 20 min until 2 massage girls came out from treatment room and ask what we are waiting for..guys..ok,massage was fine, 8 points from 10....
very small sauna,1 disabled toilet for everybody, inside there is a cabin for tanning :)
in general I would never go there again and would not recommend to anyone.

Have stayed at this hotel a couple of times and the rooms and service are very good, if you can afford the upgrade to the better room it is well worh it. Larger room slippers bath robe and best of all the Nespresso coffee machine. The braekfast is very good with a good choice, the hotel itself is in a good location for the shops and restaurants. The Felini restaurant in the Hotel is also very good.

Stayed at the Radisson Blu my and my partner as a romantic getaway for a night for his b'day. We live in West Midlands so not far. Lovely Clean hotel, what you would expect for a 4*.

I requested a room with a view and got a standard room with the view of the top of the Bull Ring...hhhmmmmmm.... although i am aware requests are not guaranteed, the hotel wasn't busy and informed the receptionist of this. She immediately apologised and upgraded me to a business class room for free with the most stunning room view.....WOW

Stock fridge of overpriced snacks PLEASE BEWARE THE FRIDGES AND SNACKS ARE ON A MAGNETIC SENSOR ONCE ANY ITEM IS MOVED YOU ARE CHARGED AUTOMATICALLY REGARDLESS IF YOU DO OR DONT EAT/DRINK IT!!! very clever so i would advise you admire with your eyes only

Good size rooms with comfy beds......only complaint was no blackout curtains just some flimsy quite see through material....There are 2 HIGH RISE FLATS ADJACENT TO THIS HOTEL MEANING IF YOU LIKE TO BE NUDE....90% OF THE RESIDENTS IN THE FLATS WILL AND CAN WATCH WATCH YOU!!

Breakfast was superb!! so much choice not just your bacon, egg, continental..... but cereal, mix fruit, salmon, melon, selection of cheese...and all your tea coffee hot chocs etc....such a wide selection even the pickiest of eaters would be lost for words!!

Radisson offers free wi-fi all over the hotel, however not very good to watch videos or streaming however great for internet, not super fast but does the job.

There is also free late check out until 6pm...i requested a late check-out and i got the look of "but you live in Birmingham" however i requested it anyway. quality time with the husband is a past-time with kids so i thought id utilise it in every way possible and you still get use of all the facilities, gym, spa pool etc NOTE: THE RECEPTIONIST MAY TRY TO TALK YOU TO LEAVING EARLY FOR A LATE CHECK OUT....I REQUESTED TILL 6 AND SHE WAS SAYING "WHAT ABOUT 3PM???" AGAIN I REMINDED HER THE HOTEL WAS NOT BUSY AND THE HOTEL ADVERTISED LATE CHECK OUT TILL 6PM.. she smiled and said OK.....so if you want to stay till 6pm dont let the reception put you off!!!

Overall a lovely pleasant stay.... not much difference between a standard and business room apart from a little extra space, robes/slippers, bathroom toiletries, free paper and a stacked overpriced minibar. take this into consideration with deciding whether to pay the extra £30.....

The only thing to let the hotel down is NO PARKING so find a parking spot, behind the flats have free parking after 6pm until 7am in the morning..ideal if you leave b4 parking starts charging again!!

Room Tip: If you dont intend to use their robes/slippers...and have brought your own toiletries and dont mind...

Dear guest,

Thank you for your review, and for sharing such a wide overview of your stay, I'm sure this is a great help for other customers wanting to stay with us! I was very glad to see such positive comments and really hope you enjoyed your stay.

I wanted to thank you also for your constructive critisim, we are currently changing our mini bar stock and indeed lowering the prices to entice further business for the future. Also in relation to your check out request, we will always try our best to confirm later check outs on a free of charge basis, especially on a quiet day as you rightly mentioned.

Well I hope we will have the pleasure in welcoming you back soon? Perhaps you can try one of our suites next time? They have plenty of space! Please contact me direct if you would be in town again.

Have a great week.

Kind regards,

Wanting to go out in central Birmingham and looking for a centrally located hotel, I booked this through Last Minute. I mentioned on the instructions that is was a special weekend and spoke to a very helpful lady on the phone after it had been booked. We checked into room 1417 and were greated by a spacious, modern and clean room with a great view. Looking onto the front of the hotel, the view across Birmingham was pretty at night. This hotel is clean, modern and well cared for. I would recommend staying here if you are looking for a central, modern location within walking distance from New Street station and the Bull Ring.

Room Tip: Try to request a room at the front of the hotel looking onto the Pagoda. Great View !

The hotel is in a very convenient location just around the corner from New Street Station which is brilliant. That is the biggest positive going for this hotel unfortunately.

As you walk up to it, it looks nothing like the promotional pictures, the windows are grey with dust and the hotel is set just off a major roundabout of a busy high street.

Checkin: This was fast and pretty good. The staff were friendly and got us through checkin very quickly.

The rooms: They are tired and dated. The light blue carpet had seen better days and really needed a change. The seating supplied was a bench with some (bobbling and old) red felt covering which sat under the tv so was rendered useless. The head board on the bed had massive brown stains all over it and I didn't really want to put my head down. The linen was very clean however, which compensated for it.

The room was basic and contained a TV that didn't work. And all through the night (on and off) we heard a loud buzzing from some equipment which turned on at 7am and woke us up!

The Bar: I visited the bar and the staff there were very friendly and very professional. They mixed drinks for us and were willing to experiment to please their customers. They were fun and a credit to the hotel.

Breakfast: Breakfast was set out on the first floor in the restaurant. There was hot food and you could have a full fry up. i was a little disappointed that the only option for eggs were boiled or scrambled (no fried), and that there was no vegetarian option for a cooked breakfast (no veggie sausages or mushrooms). There were a good selection of hams and salmon but they had looked like they had been out for a while as the edges were noticeably dry and tough.

I had to ask for butter when it ran out as there was nobody manning the counter. There was also a long queue for cooked breakfasts as the eggs had run out and so had the beans and I had to go and find somebody to refill. This was a little sloppy. We weren't provided with any milk for our tea/coffee so had to go and ask for this too. The toaster didn't work and burnt one side of the toast while the other side remained white and uncooked!

All in all, an acceptable business hotel, but really coasting along on the Radisson name. Functional and nothing else, I won't be going there again.
