Stayed here for 3 nights and wish I hadn't
We were refused breakfast and made to look like criminals in front of a full restaurant. Apparently a clerical error but by the time it was rectified it was too embarrassing to sit down and eat. Staff weren't bothered , I think they were just happy they didnt have our plates to wash up.
We returned to the room at 5 pm and the room had not even been serviced, appalling I think
We had to ring for fresh towels and toiletries.
Still waiting for the apology
I have stayed here many times and only because I am a club Carlson member. NEVERAGAIN
Mistakes happen I can appreciate but the staff just don't care, maybe because they don't speak english
There are so many new and exciting places to stay in Birmingham . I am happy to lose points as I will never stay here again an absolute rip off! Shame on you all

Was in Birmingham for the night and booked a business suite here, the staff def tried to be friendly, out of the 7 we encountered only one was English and fully understood us, which we did find a bit of a problem. We called one guy to the room as there was no bottle opener, when we tried to ask him for information he kept repeating ask at the desk and look at signs!! Clearly our requests were lost in translation. Again at breakfast we asked a waitress about the pancake machine and she just repeated twice she not know! With something about not being there long. All in all it was a clean enough hotel, breakfast was ok the cold breakfast was fab the cooked disappointing. Very soft bed, no proper curtain just net so impossible to block out all the city light. Will be glad to be in my own bed.

Was an ok night but can't see how their service or breakfast was any better than the holiday inn which was next door and half the price. Only parking was the ncp behind which was another £19.90. Prob won't return but was ok

We got a great deal through Last Minute with a room at half price.

The rooms start on the fifth floor and the are no public staircases so not good if you don't like lifts. The rooms have floor to ceiling windows and the views even from our fifth floor room were good but were obscured in some directions. I imagine the views get better the higher you go.

The room was adequate and well laid out. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good but there were stains on the carpet and the air conditioning was very noisy. Some of the fixtures were looking the worse for wear.

It's a short (but not entirely salubrious) walk from the Bullring and New Street Station.

We'd stay again at half price but there are much better places to be had for the full rate.

Room Tip: Higher floor for better views

Excellent hotel, stayed for one night on business trip. Booked into a business class room on 18th floor (corner room) 1821. Bed very comfortable and duvet comfy. Could have done with free water in the room and biscuits for tea would have been nice. Breakfast very good also on the 1st floor restaurant.

Room Tip: Ask for a high up floor room away from roundabout below.

The hotel is very central, just 5 minutes walk from the Bullring. People at reception were very young and not experience. The manager at the bar very rude! The room I got had a light brown carpet completely covered with stains of all sorts! But when I asked to change room they were very good and they gave me a different room with blue carpet, dirty as the one before but thank to the blue colour the stains were less visible! The bathroom is not nice but clean.
Breakfast is ok but I did not test the hot food.

Dear guest,

Thank you for your recent visit and review - Firstly, i apologise your room Capet was not up to standard, we are currently in the process of changing our carpets to improve the quality, needless to say this is not an excuse for the quality in which you received.

I was very disappointed to read your comments relating to service, perhaps you would be so kind to contact me below so we can discuss the matter further as this is certainly not inherent of our yes I can! Service concept.

Thank you for yur time and efforts in assisting me further.

Kind regards,

The hotel is located centrally just a short distance from New Street Station and the City's main shopping area. The rooms are of the highest standards as are the arrangements in the hotel generally.
Staff are polite and helpful and will do everything possible to make your visit enjoyable . I have used the hotel a number of times on visits to the West Midlands.

Room Tip: I have stayed at rooms on different floors. They are all fine.
