Radisson Blu Hotel, Birmingham
Ranked #62 of 118 Hotels in Birmingham
Reviewed 19 March 2013

We stayed at the Radisson Blu in Birmingham for 1 night over the weekend. The staff were helpful, the rooms were spacious, with plenty of room for our travel cot, as well as being modern and clean; the bed was comfortable too! We stayed on the 6th foor, so there was a level of traffic noise which may disturb some people, particularly light sleepers. Having said this, the location is excellent for the city centre, with the Bull Ring, The Mailbox, Sealife Centre, etc. all within easy walking distance. The buffet breakfast was also good. The only downside really was that the hotel does not have its own parking facilities and instead uses an NCP car park behind the hotel. Although this is extremely convenient, it is quite costly with 24 hours being charged at £14, including the discount obtained by paying for your parking at the hotel itself.

Room Tip: Having stayed on the 6th floor and heard some traffic noise, I would be tempted to ask for a room on...

Perfect central location but rooms are bit dated and need a renovation. Staff are very friendly and helpful. If your driving there is a NCP car park round the back of hotel, cost £14 for 24 hours and the hotel validates your ticket at reception. If you want more luxury stay at the Hyatt Regency on Broad street.

Great location close to Station, Bull Ring & Mail box. Amazing views from clean room with comfy beds albeit a little tired and in need of a spruce up. Every member of staff from front of house to house keeping went out of their way to be helpful, friendly and welcoming. Good breakfast although not a fan of queing to use toaster. Would have been a five star rating had it not been for the tiredness of the decoration in the room, compliments to the staff but get the decorators in!

Room Tip: Great views from high rooms but not for those afraid of heights!

I have to admit that both times I've stayed here I was upgraded so I am a little bit biassed here, but I find the staff at this hotel very helpfull and the location ideal for most of the city. It's located in one of the tallest buildings in Birmingham and the views are very good. Floor to ceiling windows so plenty of light in the rooms. Overall a decent hotel.

Good location in the middle of the city near the Bullring. Easy to find, they have a drop off area in front and a deal with the NCP around the corner for a little bit cheaper parking. The room and bathroom were both clean and the view from the higher floors is good. The decor in the room seemed a bit tired. The view from the gym on the top floor is amazing! We would use this hotel again.
