This was a second stay here for the same NEC event and again am not disappointed. Premier Inns for me are here to serve a purpose, a nice clean air conditioned room, comfortable bed, clean bathroom and basic food service. All provided with no problems. Check in is now automatic, very straightforward. I paid about £40 in advance, also went for the £22 meal deal which gave me a three course meal in the evening and buffet breakfast in the morning, and £3 for 24 hours WiFi which enabled me to use my iPhone and iPad to get things done (like TripAdvisor reviews!). TV in room was Freeview so had a decent selection of channels. The hotel is probably the furthest from the NEC, but halls 6-20 can be reached my foot in less than ten minutes. There's a huge car park if you don't fancy the walk.
I'm not sure who would stay here except someone doing something at the NEC or flying from the airport, I could be wrong but it seems a bit limited for a weekend break. I'm also confused by some of the reviewers moaning about lack of mini bar and the like...Premier Inn are pretty transparent about what they offer, if you want a bit more luxury then don't stay there! On and there is a bar downstairs if you need a drink!
