“A modern and well-equipped hotel of good standard”

This was the second time that we have stayed at a Premier Inn (since staying in Norwich) and found that it is well up to the high standards of modern Premier Inn hotels. We were interested to find an automated self-check-in and also a coin-op machine in the foyer for recharging different makes of smart phone. The restaurant area was pleasantly furnished and it was busy, so there was a slightly long wait for food to arrive but not unduly so. As regards access, the hotel is within a fairly short distance of the NEC and what would seem to be easy walking distance, but access is fenced off so you either have to wait for the hotel's shuttle bus or drive your own car around a circuitous route to the NEC's car park. We suspect this arrangement is to benefit the NEC whose parking charge is £8 and to prevent visitors leaving their car at the Premier Inn.

I've stayed at the hotel a number of times when visiting exhibitions at the NEC.

Check-in was quick and easy, although it is automated the reception staff are happy to help if you have any problems. The rooms are what you expect from a Premier Inn - spacious, clean and comfortable.

The bar area is comfortable a nice place to spend a while socialising. I didn't eat an evening meal in the hotel, but the breakfast was very good and the staff were efficient and friendly.

Would definitely recommend this hotel as somewhere to stay if you're going to an event at the NEC.

The annual Festival of Quilts has just taken place at Birmingham NEC. I stayed at the Premier inn for one week as this year I was an exhibitor. The reception was friendly during my stay and the service was superb. The Premier Inn is a ten minute walk to and from the venue, which is fine if the weather is clement. On rainy days a bus service is most useful. This runs regularly and the camaraderie on the bus is an experience. I have spent three years at the Premier Inn and look forward to my annual visit next year. It is so clean, convenient and has a really friendly staff.

We found the Premier Inn NEC an ideal place to stay while enjoying the Festival of Quilts exibition at the NEC. The service was first class, from check in to meals and check out. All the staff we met had smiles on their faces and an atitude of willingness to help.

I stayed two nights in a very comfortable, large clean room at this hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay - except for the food. I rarely leave food on my plate believe me :) but I wouldn't want to eat here again. The breakfast was fine. It was just (the options we chose from) the dinner menu that was the problem.
My advice: I'd certainly recommend it for a very comfortable stay - but bring a sandwich.

Booked one night before flying from Birmingham and left the car there. Excellent staff on reception who were really helpful. Had a couple of drinks in the bar but didnt have a meal there, although the pizzas looked good. Really comfortable room with soft or hard pillows etc. Had a great nights sleep and got a taxi to the airport for 6 quid, bargain! Returned a week later for our car no problems. the car park does get busy though so sometimes the overspill is used. will definately be back, much better than arriving on holiday shattered from an early drive.

Recently stayed here for 4 nights on business.
No problems with the Hotel, but had a disagreement with the Gorilla organising the restaurant seating.
Apparently you need to book the time slot for your evening meal in advance, I wasn't told this, and the thug who was allocating seating took great delight in informing me and many others that there were "no tables till 9.45"
Incidently, he whisked 2 attractive young Ladies straight to a vacant table 2 minutes after telling me that "nothing was available"

Room Tip: Eat somewhere else!
