We had problems sleeping due to very uncomfortable mattress on bed. Everything else was near perfect. Staff were particularly helpful and room lovely and spacious which is a must for me. Someone should test the comfort factor of the bed and height (disabled room) almost lead to activating their company policy of money back if no sleep. Disappointed I couldn't give full marks as i had high hopes on arrival.
Disabled room was booked but bed issues were there. However well done ad overall view of hotel was good.

The Premier Inn at Rubery was as good as any other I have stayed at, but the Brewers Fayre attached to it was not a very enjoyable experience as far as the evening meal and evening staff were concerned. By breakfast time, however, the food and staff were absolutely fine. There are other eating places on the estate where this hotel is situated, and I suggest you use these for your evening meal instead.

Stayed here at the beginning of October '13 on business.

I have stayed in many Premier Inns across the country over the years both on business and with family for occasional nights away. I generally rate them highly.

This particular hotel seemed run down and in need of refurbishment; indeed probably more so than in any other I have stayed at before.

One minor point is that the TV in the room was mounted on a bracket which made it point slightly downwards, making difficult to view unless you are lying on the bed. A minor point, but an unnecessary and frustrating one nonetheless.

As is usual in Premier Inns, the front desk staff were excellent, being polite, friendly and professional.

The Brewers Fayre (next door) was also in desperate need of refurbishment, although did serve a decent freshly cooked breakfast in the morning (decent not good, I hasten to add, as the scrambled eggs tasted very bland indeed).

Overall, I would probably choose to stay somewhere else next time I am in the area - perhaps another Premier in that is a bit newer or one that has been refurbished.

We stayed here on 21st September.
The receptionist was extremely friendly and pleasant.
The room very clean and quiet, there was a fan in the room too .The website says that the hotel is near a main road, but we didn't have any issues with noise from traffic. We booked the deal for breakfast and dinner which was very good value for money. The attached pub for food was also very good, again with very pleasant and attentive staff both at dinner and breakfast the next morning.
Evening receptionist was also very pleasant.
We spent the previous night at the Copthorne Hotel in Birmingham city centre which was supposed to be a 4 star, (see review) but this Premier Inn was by far the most superior and we will return in the near future
